Citizen-Centered Health at Regionshospitalet Horsens is seeking engaged and clinically strong nurses who want to help build and develop a new regional acute function across Horsens, Hedensted, Skanderborg and Odder.

We work so that citizens with acute and complex problems can receive treatment, observation and follow-up close to their own home, when it is professionally safe to do so.

As an acute care nurse you will have a daily life with great variation, a high degree of independence and significant professional influence. You will have the opportunity to use your entire nursing toolkit and actively contribute to the development of the future close-to-home health services.

Your tasks

As an acute care nurse you will, among other things

• Perform systematic clinical assessments and nursing interventions for citizens with acute and complex problems, including using TOKS, ABC principles as well as diagnostic and microbiological investigations.
• Contribute to preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and support safe and early discharges.
• Initiate physician-ordered interventions and plan relevant follow-up.
• Collaborate closely with hospitals, general practice, municipalities and the Pre-hospital Service.
• Provide telephone and virtual advice as well as professional sparring to partners.
• Contribute to teaching and competence development within the near-healthcare sector.
• Perform instrumental nursing tasks such as IV therapy, catheter insertion and tube insertion.
• Participate in triage after thorough training and introduction.
• Contribute to the development of new citizen-centered interventions and workflows.
• Contribute to coherent, safe and citizen-centered patient pathways across sectors.

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed nurse.
• Have experience with acute patients, medical patients and complex patient pathways.
• Have strong clinical competencies and thrive on making independent decisions close to the citizen.
• Can maintain an overview in complex situations.
• Are development-oriented and curious about new ways of working.
• See opportunities rather than limitations.
• Want to contribute to building a new function with great importance for the future health system.
• Value interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration.
• Have a driver's license for a passenger car.

Experience from emergency reception, medical wards, intensive care, municipal acute functions or home nursing is an advantage, but we weigh motivation, engagement and professional curiosity at least as highly.

Workplace and shift pattern

Acute nursing covers the municipalities of Horsens, Hedensted, Skanderborg and Odder.

You will be attached to a primary location, and we wish in dialogue with you to find the placement that best matches your wishes, your geographical ties and the organization's needs. We believe that good working conditions for employees help create good pathways for citizens.

At the same time, we solve tasks across municipal borders and sectors, and therefore travel between municipalities and sites will be a natural part of the job.

The position is part of a 24-hour staffed duty rotation with

• Day shifts
• Evening shifts
• Night shifts

As a rule, you work every 4th weekend.

The duty rota is planned with a focus on professional sustainability, flexibility and a strong collegial community.

Employment terms

We are talking about permanent full-time positions with start on January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

Salary and terms follow the applicable collective agreement. Employment requires valid authorization, satisfactory child protection check and a driving license.
