About the job

Welcome to the Center for Daycare and Child Health

You will become part of the Center for Daycare and Child Health in Frederikshavn Municipality. Here you will have an administrative role with close contact with both citizens, colleagues and managers.

A central part of the work involves the municipality's daycare, SFO and club places. Parents typically book a place themselves through the municipality's booking system, and your task will include supporting that the system reflects the current capacity and that the places are distributed in the best possible way.

You will have your workplace at the town hall in Frederikshavn, where you will be part of an administrative community with colleagues who solve tasks across the daycare and school area.

Your working day with us

You will have a varied administrative day. An important part of the task is to create an overview of the need for daycare places and contribute to good use and distribution of the total capacity.

This means, among other things, that you will work with forecasts, trends in the number of children and the need for places and be in dialogue with area managers and pedagogical leaders about the capacity in the individual areas and institutions.

You will also work in our booking system. Therefore it is important that you are familiar with digital solutions and quickly adapt to new systems and workflows.

Telephone contact with parents and other citizens is also an important part of the job. Some need concrete assistance with booking, while others have questions about their options. Here you should be able to meet citizens in a friendly and professional manner and help them on their way.

In addition there will be various administrative tasks in the center. For example answering and coordinating requests for access to documents and other tasks that naturally belong to the administrative support of the center's areas.

Your tasks will include

  • work with booking and administration of places in the daycare area
  • monitor developments in need and capacity and contribute to forecasts and an appropriate distribution of the places
  • ensure that information and available places in the booking system are correct
  • guide and assist parents and other citizens by phone and in writing
  • handle various administrative tasks
  • work closely with managers and administrative colleagues
  • contribute to the ongoing development of administrative workflows.

What should you be able to do?

We place emphasis on having administrative understanding, working in a structured way and having a good eye for both numbers and details.

We imagine that you

  • have experience with administrative tasks
  • have a good numerical understanding and can work systematically with data and an overview
  • are familiar with digital systems and quickly learn new ones
  • communicate in a friendly and clear manner both verbally and in writing
  • enjoy contact with citizens by phone
  • can work independently while also collaborating closely with others
  • work in a structured way and follow your tasks through to completion
  • are curious and flexible with regard to different administrative tasks.

You do not need to know our booking system or the rules for daycare from the start. The most important thing is that you are eager and able to learn and quickly get up to speed with new systems, rules and workflows.

What you get with us

You will get a versatile administrative position where your tasks matter for both daily operations and longer-term planning in the Center for Daycare and Child Health.

You will become part of a professional and administrative community where we help each other, share knowledge and collaborate on tasks.

You will receive a thorough introduction to the tasks, rules and systems and the opportunity to contribute to developing the administrative workflows as tasks and systems evolve.

The position is 30 hours per week, possibly with the possibility that the number of hours can be increased in time. In our workplace there are good opportunities for flexibility in everyday life. We are open to different ways of arranging the 30 hours, for example with one weekly day off, if it fits your preferences and the tasks.

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement.
