About the job

Do you have a sense of structure, do you thrive with many different administrative and financial tasks, and are you motivated by making everyday life run smoothly for your colleagues? Then you may be the administrative colleague we are looking for to Environment and Production in Aarhus.

With us you will become a central part of the daily operation and play an important role in supporting the work with some of Denmark's largest and most complex companies. You will become part of a strong professional environment where we collaborate across teams, help each other, and work for solutions that make a difference for the environment and society.

About Environment and Production

In Environment and Production we work with environmental tasks for about 400 of Denmark’s most complex companies. We are, among other things, responsible for environmental approvals and environmental inspections, and the rules that set the framework for the companies’ impact on the environment. The work primarily takes place under the Environmental Protection Act, the Soil Contamination Act and related legislation.

We are also in the midst of an exciting development. The area is changing rapidly, and we have just implemented a broader organization to strengthen our task execution and cross-functional collaboration.

We are approximately 150 employees distributed across our locations in Aarhus, Slagelse and Odense, of which about 70 are in Aarhus.

Organizationally you will be attached to the Office for Approvals and Permits. The office is led by an Office Manager and two team leaders.

Your role

You will become an important administrative key person and the cohesion for Environment and Production in Aarhus. You will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and financial tasks that help ensure a smooth and efficient everyday life for both staff and management.

The position suits you well if you enjoy handling many balls in the air, can keep an overview, and at the same time pay attention to details. As we continue to develop our workflows, you will also have the opportunity to contribute ideas on how to make things smarter and more efficient.

You will become a natural sparring partner for both colleagues and management and you will have a daily life with great variety and a large contact surface.

Your tasks

Your job tasks will among other things be to

  • Support case handling with administrative tasks such as journaling, retrieval of material, announcing decisions, and setting up tender material.
  • Handle simple financial follow-up and invoice processing.
  • Be a super user of selected IT systems and help colleagues with IT setup and IT-related questions.
  • Coordinate ordering of equipment, office supplies and meeting refreshments.
  • Be the contact person regarding the office’s practical operating conditions.
  • Handle administrative ad hoc tasks such as travel bookings, meeting schedules and vacation lists.
  • Answer general inquiries from citizens, companies and other stakeholders.

Who are you?

Your educational background is less important than your competences and your approach to work. You may have experience from a similar administrative role – or you are a recent graduate and motivated to learn new things.

We imagine that you

  • Work in a structured way and have a sense for quality and details.
  • Take responsibility and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Are service-minded and enjoy helping others.
  • Are curious and not afraid to take on new tasks.
  • Can work independently and at the same time engage in close collaboration with colleagues.
  • Have good digital skills and feel comfortable working in different IT systems.
  • Have an eye for improvements and actively contribute ideas for better workflows.

In short, we are looking for a colleague who thrives in the role of the office’s administrative driving force. You must have a driver’s license.
