About the job

Are you an experienced leader with a health professional background, who is passionate about creating development, strong professional communities and high professional quality? Do you want to lead a department that is to be developed and find its new identity? Then you might be the one we are looking for as department head at Enggården.

At Enggården we are entering a new chapter, where together we shall create the framework for the future nursing home based on high professionalism, presence and a meaningful everyday life for the residents.

As of January 1, 2027 Enggården will be operated by OK-Fonden as a self-governing municipal nursing home. It is a development we look forward to, giving us the opportunity to further develop our organization with focus on close leadership, high professionalism and a good everyday life for our residents.

At the same time there is a significant change in the department you will lead. The department's temporary 24/7 beds will transfer to the region, and the department shall going forward be developed into a permanent nursing home department.

You will therefore play a central role in setting direction, structure and a common culture in a department that shall take shape as a permanent nursing home department and become part of OK-Fonden's community and value base.

If you would like to hear more, you are very welcome to call or drop by for an informal chat and a cup of coffee.

A leadership role with the opportunity to make your mark

As department head you will be an important part of Enggården's overall management team, where we work closely together to develop both daily operations, professionalism and our shared leadership culture.

We want to be leaders who are close to the staff and the daily task handling. We believe that clear and presence-based leadership creates security, well-being and high quality for our residents.

You will have the personnel and health-professional leadership responsibility for the department and together with the staff ensure a good transition from temporary 24/7 beds to a department where residents have their permanent home.

This requires a leader who can both set direction, create commitment and at the same time have an eye for the people who will be part of the change.

We seek a leader who can create calm and direction in a time of change, and who is motivated by bringing people together around a common task. A leader who is focused on relationships, professional quality and on creating a home where both residents and staff can live life – all of life.

Your main tasks will be to

  • Lead the development and establishment of a permanent nursing home department.
  • Ensure a good change process, where staff experience clear direction, involvement and coherence.
  • Take charge of daily personnel management with focus on well-being, work environment, professional development and a strong work community.
  • Ensure high health-professional quality, patient safety and systematic quality assurance.
  • Support a person-centered and rehabilitative approach, where residents' self-determination and wishes are central.
  • Develop good and clear working procedures that support staff's professional autonomy.
  • Create a close and trust-based collaboration with residents and relatives.
  • Contribute to anchoring OK-Fonden's values and create a culture where high professionalism, warmth and respect for the individual go hand in hand.
  • Ensure financial accountability, overview of resources and appropriate staffing.
  • Actively contribute to cross-cutting management collaboration and the joint development of Enggården.

At Enggården you get

  • An exciting management challenge, where you get the opportunity to shape the development of a new nursing home department from the start.
  • A strong and engaged management team with an informal tone, humor, professional sparring and focus on joint solutions.
  • Skilled and engaged staff who every day work to create a good and safe home for the residents.
  • Opportunity to put your mark on workflows, organization and professional development.
  • A nursing home with ambitions of high quality, strong work communities and close leadership.
  • A close collaboration with residents, relatives and volunteers.
  • Opportunity to become part of OK-Fonden, where we view the nursing home as the residents' home, and where high professionalism goes hand in hand with warmth and care.

We emphasise that as leaders we do not have to succeed alone. We must succeed together – both in our own department and across Enggården.

At Enggården we work to create a nursing home where residents experience self-determination, safety, quality of life and a meaningful everyday life.

We want a culture where professionalism, integrity and presence go hand in hand, and where staff experience that their competencies are brought into play.

With the implementation of the Elder Law we have a special focus on residents' self-determination, good cooperation with relatives and staff's professional latitude.

As department head you will help translate these ambitions into concrete leadership and everyday action.

As department head you will have the opportunity to make a clear imprint on this journey. Not only by ensuring daily operations, but by helping to shape the culture and home that residents, staff and relatives will be part of for many years to come.
