Apply for the position
Do you want to help shape the infrastructure of the future? Become part of Sweco Rail, where you will have responsibility, influence and the opportunity to work on exciting railway projects across the country.
In the Department for Rail, Bridge & Tunnel we solve tasks through all phases of the structures’ life cycle – from design and construction to operation, maintenance and renovation. You will work with technical advisory of station projects e.g. decommissioning, relocation of existing platform crossings, establishment, conversion or relocation of platforms as well as establishment of access arrangements, track renewal etc.
With us you will encounter a strong professional environment with deep specialization within rail, bridge and tunnel. We value a strong collaborative culture in a professional yet informal working environment, where you get broad contact surfaces both internally and externally through our integrated advisory. In the office in Aarhus you will be part of a team that values the social aspect and that would like to nurture work relationships both in the office and, at times, outside the office.
We operate within a decentralized structure that gives you great influence on the projects. We believe that the best decisions are made locally, which ensures a dynamic and meaningful work process. An organization we believe helps ensure that we deliver the best solutions to our clients and partners, while continuously developing ourselves to maintain our position as one of the industry’s leading consultants.
About the position
As a drainage specialist you play a crucial role in the projects. You will be responsible for preparing drainage plans on tracks and platforms, and assess necessary surveyings and investigations. In addition you will also need to prepare drawings and models e.g. in DANDAS-graph format. At the same time we expect you to take technical responsibility and can act as discipline lead depending on context and needs. Your primary tasks will be:
- Planning and design of drainage systems for railway infrastructure, including drains, ditches and basins
- Preparation of hydraulic calculations and sizing of drainage installations
- Coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated solutions
- Preparation of procurement documents and technical specifications
- Dialogue with authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards
- Participation in project management and quality assurance of drainage projects
- Contribution to the development of sustainable and climate-adapted drainage solutions
- Use of relevant software tools for modelling and documentation
- Act as discipline lead. Including professional sparring and knowledge sharing with colleagues within drainage and related disciplines
