About the job

Labor Market and Youth Center, Job, Integration and Action

Are you passionate about guiding, motivating, and creating good pathways for unemployed citizens? And are you ambitious and ready to try new ways to get citizens into work or education?

Over the past 5 years we have shown that an early and hands-on approach works – especially when the effort takes place in companies. We believe in our citizens, and we believe in the value of frequent and close contact with companies. We continuously develop our initiatives and services and try new approaches in relation to developments in the labor market – that is where we need you to continue and support the good results.

About the job

This is an attractive job where you will have time, space, and resources to try different methods to support citizens who often have received long-term public support into work. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the team’s methods. You will be part of a close collaboration with your nearest colleague, who primarily works with visitation and early intervention in the unemployed citizen’s first 3 months.

In daily life, you will be the one working with job-ready citizens who have a duration of more than 3 months. Both you and your team colleague work flexibly on the task, so the fluctuations in case loads and duration we may experience are handled by both of you in a strong collaboration.

As the caseworker you will have the authority for about 45 citizens. The primary target group for you are job-ready cash benefit recipients over 30 years old, who often have a longer period of unemployment behind them and therefore require a special effort. Citizens must be met with a job-oriented and motivating approach and with a belief that each individual can succeed in achieving the goals that are set.

Your main tasks will be

  • Relationship work with frequent conversations and follow-up on what has been agreed with the individual citizen
  • Focus on jobs and job searching
  • Act as the ongoing caseworker up to self-sufficiency, including drafting "My Plan", initiating education- and job-creating activities, following up on progression, etc.
  • Meet the unemployed citizen with a holistic approach, where you handle all tasks within the employment area – excluding benefits
  • You must, when needed, be able to hold visitation conversations with newly unemployed cash benefit recipients and meet them in the early intervention
  • Accessibility is a key word and you must be available so that citizens, businesses, and partners have easy access to contact during working hours

Who you are

First and foremost, you are a pleasure to work with. You are good at understanding new knowledge, and you can translate it into an effort that works for the individual citizen. You have a well-developed understanding of the citizens and the situation they find themselves in. You therefore understand how you can both set demands and support them as needed on the road to work or education. You are a team player and a zealot, and you have a desire to challenge conventional thinking and the way the authority role is exercised.

You are also goal-oriented and good at structuring your work so that good ideas are brought to life, and you are strong in preparing written documentation.

It is important that you can see opportunities and believe in the unemployed person’s path back to employment. You are good at motivating others and helping them see their own potential. You are good at taking responsibility for task solving and want to spend the majority of your time with citizens – we do not believe that we achieve results behind a desk.

We are looking for you who are positive in your meetings with citizens, colleagues and partners. It is important that you are responsible, dare to make independent decisions in task solving, and have an appreciative and resource-focused approach.

You have a social work education/experience with the target group from working in a job centre, as well as possibly experience with employer initiatives.

Department

The position is located in the Department of Job, Integration and Action, which handles the contact process for both job-ready and cash benefit recipients, unemployed citizens on A-dagpenge, integration citizens, and citizens on LY/Flex.

You will become part of a dynamic department with about 20 employees, where development, engagement and professional quality are at the center. We work on the principle “Reality works” – because ordinary work and meaningful communities lift the citizen closer to work. Likewise, we believe that “The employee works” – that the relationship with a contact person who believes in the citizen’s job opportunities makes a decisive difference.

We offer

  • Good opportunities to develop and shape the area
  • An department focused on development, professional sparring and method development
  • Good colleagues who complement each other in personalities and expertise and who support each other in everyday life
  • A good working environment where well-being and humor are an important part of everyday life
  • Coffee, tea and fruit scheme
  • Flex time
  • Flexible Friday

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 28 October 2026.

Background checks and/or criminal record checks may be obtained in connection with the employment.

It is part of Ringsted Municipality’s recruitment policy to promote equal gender distribution and ethnic equality. We encourage both people with Danish and other ethnic backgrounds to apply for the advertised position.

We look forward to receiving your application.
