About us

Anesthesia is part of the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Kolding Hospital. We are a ward with a strong and engaged team consisting of 39 anesthesia nurses – of which 5 are special responsible - as well as 8 anesthesia trainees, 3 service assistants, 1 clinical nurse specialist and 1 training manager.

Kolding Hospital is an emergency hospital, and about 70% of our activity in Anesthesia is emergency. We serve 5 surgical specialties: organ surgery, gynecology/obstetrics, orthopedic surgery, spine surgery and vascular surgery. In addition, we provide anesthesia for ECT treatments, DC conversions, MR scans and dental treatments, just as we handle tasks across the hospital's clinical departments – including trauma calls, critical calls as well as internal and external transports. It gives a busy and varied daily life with many kinds of challenges and a wide range of tasks.

Education is a natural part of our core task. We have a large educational commitment to anesthesia trainees, introductory and main specialty doctors, prehospital personnel, etc. Our learning environment is characterized by high quality, interdisciplinarity and simulation training as an integrated part of everyday life.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and terms of employment for the position follow the Health Collective Agreement - Agreement 32.17.1. The starting salary for the position can be found via the following link: See starting salary for positions in Region of Southern Denmark .

In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

Employment is conditional on satisfactory authorization, reference and child disclosure.
