About the job

One of our skilled psychologists is moving on in their career, so we at OPUS NV are now seeking a psychologist for our skilled, socially inclusive and engaged OPUS team.

There is now an opportunity to become part of the dynamic and professionally developing community in the attractive premises at Lersø Parkallé, which offers a good learning environment for both newer and more experienced staff. The Psychiatric Center Copenhagen is consolidated in one building with 4 autonomous teams.

What is OPUS?

OPUS is a 2-year interdisciplinary outpatient treatment program for young adults with first-episode psychosis. The treatment is based on cognitive-behavioral therapy.

The current interdisciplinary OPUS NV team consists of specialists in psychiatry, a psychologist, nurses, occupational therapists and a social worker. It is a team characterized by a high level of professionalism, a good and engaged environment and exceptionally good collaboration.

What will you do?

Like other professional groups in OPUS, the psychologist in an OPUS team’s primary task is to work as primary caregiver (case manager). Much of the primary caregiver work is conversation-based and relationship-based, but the primary caregiver function also has a coordinating role in relation to the management and planning of the 2-year treatment course, including collaboration with both internal treatment offers, inpatient wards at the Psychiatric Center Copenhagen and external partners (e.g. Job Center, Social Administration and social psychiatric services).

There is an assertive approach with responsibility for contact retention, and contact with patients can also take place as home visits. Great emphasis is placed on involving relatives, who are invited to conversations, education and participation in family groups.

In addition to the primary caregiver function, psychologists in the OPUS house participate in teaching and group offerings for patients and relatives, and perform initial assessments of newly referred patients, testing and diagnostic tasks. In addition to their own primary caregiver pathways, there is as a psychologist the possibility of individually defined psychotherapeutic pathways with patients in the team.

As a psychologist at the Psychiatric Center Copenhagen, you become part of a large psychological professional community across departments and functions, with opportunities to participate in/receive supervision, monofield supervision, supervise tasks, etc.

What do we expect from you?

  • Graduate psychologist
  • Psychiatric experience and interest in working with serious mental illnesses
  • Preferably experience from outpatient psychiatry
  • Preferably experience with psychological testing and assessment
  • Social engagement and professional enthusiasm for therapeutic conversation.
  • Join the OPUS group activities (including psychoeducation and social skills training)
  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy education or interest
  • Desire and ability to work both independently and flexibly, as well as participate in close interdisciplinary collaboration with other professions

What do we offer you?

  • An open and developing professional and collegial community
  • Thorough introduction to the work and the OPUS concept
  • A varied workday with great opportunity for independent planning of your own workday
  • Opportunity to undertake a wide range of both cross-disciplinary and monodisciplinary tasks
  • Regular supervision in the team
  • Opportunity for training and supervision in psychological testing
  • Monthly in-house psychologist meetings with the house’s specialist psychologist and participation of the chief psychologist at PCK
  • Possibility of 1-year training in CAT-psychosis for interdisciplinary contact persons
  • An OPUS house focused on education, competence development, research engagement and generally high professional standards
  • Easy access to and sparring with OPUS management and colleagues in the house
  • Specialists in all teams
  • Possibility for supervision tasks across PCK

Upgrading in connection with integrated dual diagnosis treatment

In Psychiatry in the Capital Region of Denmark, a new integrated treatment offer for patients with dual diagnoses (mental illness and concurrent substance use) is currently being implemented. This is also a task in OPUS, and provides a special opportunity to further develop and challenge yourself professionally. The tasks in the new treatment offer will be carried out in collaboration, and there will be a corresponding upgrading of all staff, which you can look forward to.
