Egely ved Søen is a smaller, specialized housing and employment support service, where we believe that development is created through secure relationships, clear frameworks and a meaningful everyday life.

Our citizens/clients have various psychological, social and functional challenges and need a small, manageable and safe framework with stable relationships, structure and predictability.

We work relationally and in an affirming way, focusing on each citizen's resources, development and the possibility to master their own life.

The nature and animals around Egely are not just surroundings – they are part of everyday life and our pedagogical work. Therefore you must be able to see the value in the interaction between people, animals and nature.

Who are you?

It is a requirement that you have a relevant education as

• social educator / pedagogue
• social- and health care assistant
• nurse

Your educational background is important, but who you are as a person matters at least as much to us.

We imagine that you

• have experience with caregiving and/or social-pedagogical work
• can work independently and take responsibility
• have an eye for the person behind the behaviour
• meet the citizens with respect, curiosity and an affirming approach
• dare to make a decision and stand by it – even when everyday life does not follow the plan
• are adaptable and can maintain calm and overview
• are flexible and see possibilities rather than limitations
• wish to actively contribute to the development of our pedagogical practice
• thrive in being part of a smaller workplace where everyone contributes
• like animals and have an understanding of the special interaction that can arise between people and animals
• are not afraid of practical and homely tasks.

The everyday life with us

At Egely ved Søen we do not sharply differentiate between "pedagogy" and "everyday life".

Pedagogy is also present when we cook, clean, care for animals, take a walk, work with a citizen or sit at the kitchen table for a talk.

Therefore we are looking for a colleague who can work professionally and structurally and at the same time see the value in the small situations in everyday life.

You must be able to build relationships without losing your professionalism, set clear boundaries without losing presence, and support the citizen without necessarily taking over the task.
