About the job

We are looking for you who have a natural service mindset and who want to serve our users face-to-face in our citizen center in Aarhus.

Your new workplace

The Citizen Service is users' entry point to the agency. We have physical citizen centers where we process EU citizens' applications for residence rights, record biometrics in the immigration area, and handle a range of other administrative tasks. Geographically, the Citizen Service is distributed at addresses in Valby, Aalborg, Aarhus, Esbjerg, Sønderborg, Odense and Rønne. In addition, our office also has responsibility for the agency's Call Center.

You will become part of an office with about 100 dedicated employees with different experiences, educations, perspectives and tasks. We are characterized by an informal, friendly tone, and knowledge is something we share.

You will become part of the citizen center in Aarhus, where we are eight employees.

In SIRI, digitization is an important part of our daily life. We work with new technological possibilities e.g. AI to strengthen an efficient and secure task handling and to create value for citizens, businesses and employees.

This is how your everyday life will look

Your new day-to-day will involve close contact with users in the citizen center, in a strong community, where, in collaboration with each other, we strive to provide friendly service at a high professional level.

Your tasks will include

  • receive and process applications for residence rights for EU citizens
  • receive applications and collect biometrics in the immigration area
  • provide guidance within both the EU and immigration areas

Our expectations of you

You have a relevant background, e.g., an office education with a specialization in public administration or experience with case processing from another public authority.

You thrive in a changing work environment, where you are professionally and personally challenged, and where we expect you to be friendly, have a flair for delivering good service and the ability to put yourself in the user's position. In addition, you should thrive in a daily life where things often move quickly. Most of our users speak English, and we therefore expect you to be comfortable speaking English.

In addition we expect that you

  • are hardworking, diligent and results-oriented
  • are good at getting to know new IT systems
  • have a positive, flexible and patient approach to your work
  • are a good colleague and prepared for work where we lift together
