Are you our new church caretaker?

Toksværd and Holme-Olstrup Parish Council is looking for a part-time church caretaker 15 hours per week.

Would you like to be a church caretaker in a vibrant and dynamic church that offers meaningful and varied tasks and is located near Næstved in scenic surroundings? Then Toksværd and Holme-Olstrup's two churches are just right for you.

There are busy weeks and less busy weeks. The position is registered as 15 hours per week on average annually. We have many activities and church services. It is a position that requires commitment and collaboration to make daily life run smoothly. In return, you have a lot of freedom to arrange your own working days.

We have two churches and two churchyards. In Toksværd we have a newer confirmation classroom with kitchen and toilets and a church office.

We are looking for a church caretaker who

• would like to actively participate in church life in the church and the confirmation classroom.
• enjoys setting up cozy coffee tables and light refreshments. A couple of times a year there is preparation for spaghetti services with communal dining.
• has an eye for keeping the various rooms and churches neat. This includes responsibility for cleaning, flowers and shopping and restocking of various items.
• has an understanding of the whole church service—both during joyful events and when life is difficult and ends.
• embraces broadness and is able to meet others with empathy, without prejudice and openly.
• values good collaboration and teamwork with colleagues and the parish council
• can work independently and in a structured manner.
• has a driving license and can provide own car, as services, activities and practical tasks take place at several locations.
• if you are not a trained church caretaker, you must complete the training within the first two years of employment.
