About the job

Would you like to play a central role in ensuring soldiers receive the right matériel – in the right condition and at the right time? Would you enjoy a daily routine where each day is different and you strengthen your SAP skills to create structure and quality in the Defence Authority’s inventories? Then you may be our new colleague?

About us

You will become part of Operations Support in Capacity Land, at the Danish Defence Material and Procurement Agency (FMI) under the Business Area, Soldier – a small, dedicated team that works closely across three sections and many different disciplines. We are a mix of employees with logistics, military, mercantile and technical backgrounds. The atmosphere is characterized by collaboration, humor and a culture where we help each other. With us you can expect high professionalism, short decision paths and a daily life where it is easy to see that your work makes a real difference.

The section is responsible for procurement, operation, capacity development and disposal of materiel within the capacity areas, weapons, ammunition and equipment.

About the position

You will be a key person in managing the Business Area’s Authority Inventory for weapons, ammunition and equipment. You will be responsible for registration, monitoring and quality assurance in SAP, and you will be a natural point of contact for colleagues who need system support, data extraction and professional overview. In addition, it is expected that you contribute to other administrative tasks that may fall to the Operations Support section, such as handling inquiries from other business areas in FMI, contribute to event planning or provide support to the other three sections.

You will work closely with the sections, the depot environment, operational units and other professional functions in FMI. Your role is both operations-oriented and development-oriented – you solve daily tasks, but also contribute to improving processes and strengthening our data foundation.

Your main tasks will be

  • To ensure correct and up-to-date authority inventories in SAP
  • To perform quality assurance, analyses, fault-finding and follow-up in the system.
  • To provide ongoing support to the sections and answer queries about materiel data
  • To handle concrete case processing and staff support tasks
  • To prepare data extractions, management information and small analyses
  • To act as a link between Operations Support, suppliers and operational users so that materiel processes run smoothly and according to the rules

About you

The most important thing is that you have experience with SAP and want to work with materiel management in one of the Defence’s most central capacity areas. It is expected that you can use Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as communicate clearly and accurately both in writing and verbally.

Personal characteristics

We would like you to

  • Have an academic background, office education or similar
  • Work in a structured way and have an eye for detail
  • Take responsibility for your areas and follow up tasks to completion
  • Be service-minded and good at collaborating across and across
  • Thrive with a mix of fixed routines and development tasks
  • Contribute positively to the team and to a culture where we help each other
  • It is an advantage, but not a requirement, that you have knowledge of the Defence

You are service-minded, results-oriented, pragmatic and enjoy having a large touchpoint. You are flexible and work well in a changing daily life, characterized by varied tasks at different places in the department. Additionally, we expect you to be able to work independently and focused.

Success in the role

You succeed when

  • Our inventory data are correct, stable and transparent.
  • The sections experience that you are service-minded and a helpful contact point.
  • The case handling is professional and easy to understand.
  • Your work supports the soldier receiving the right materiel – at the right time.

Terms of employment

You are employed in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is the possibility of negotiating an allowance. There is an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Ballerup.

As an employee of the Defence Ministry’s group, you are subject to certain special conditions. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment process.
