About the job

The target group at Tornbjerggård is changing and we are still in the process of a professional development process of our offering.

We want a professionally strong leader who really burns for our citizen group and who wants to practice close and meaningful leadership in daily operations – in close contact with the rehabilitation manager and another assistant manager as well as staff, citizens and other partners.

Your primary tasks will be to

  • carry out leadership in close collaboration with the rehabilitation manager
  • support daily operations, including ensure appropriate planning and scheduling
  • be daily responsible for leading the staff so that citizens get the best conditions for a meaningful recovery-oriented rehabilitation process and ensure the right interventions and correct documentation
  • hold team meetings as well as case supervision with the individual teams in the house
  • focus on our occupational health interventions, including high well-being and social capital
  • conduct absence interviews on the first and fifth day of absence
  • shared responsibility for professional and interdisciplinary leadership in close collaboration with the rehabilitation manager
  • have a particular eye for the social-science interventions across the house.
  • co-responsible for the implementation of organizational and political decisions
  • become part of a leadership team both within your own team and across the program.

About us

Tornbjerggård is a social-psychiatric residential facility aimed at citizens with severe mental illness,

of whom many have co-diagnoses in connection with substance abuse and/or somatic disorders.

There are 42 residents, all of whom, based on their current day form, do their best in the collaboration.

Recovery-oriented rehabilitation is the common reference framework in our multi-disciplinary collaboration. We see it as our top task to promote citizens' possibilities to live as independent and meaningful a life as possible, and therefore the starting point is always the citizen's dreams, challenges and resources.

We are looking for a dedicated assistant manager who together with the Rehabilitation Manager and another assistant manager leads and develops Tornbjerggård in collaboration with the staff group of 45 competent and multidisciplinary employees.

About you

We have many wishes and expectations for our upcoming assistant manager, but we do not expect you to know everything at once. We want you to:

  • have a basic education at bachelor level and preferably with a social science profile
  • have experience with the target group – preferably from psychiatry and/or the addiction field
  • have management experience – and preferably with a leadership education at diploma level or be ready to commence leadership education
  • that you are well-founded and autonomous but at the same time a dedicated team player.
  • be a visible and clear leader who can motivate and support daily practice and ensure a common direction
  • have an appreciative and motivating communication in collaboration with citizens/relatives/employees and other partners
  • have good situational awareness and a good overview
  • can help strengthen professional development and maintain the direction for this.
  • have competencies and experience to coordinate health-professional and pedagogical tasks, as well as daily operational tasks
  • focus on personnel management and the core task as a means to maintain a good working environment.

In addition we imagine that you

  • have well-organized work habits - with emphasis on concrete planning, control and organization
  • are able to make decisions on an incomplete basis because the situation requires it (e.g. due to time pressure)
  • know yourself and know where you stand and when it is necessary to push through
  • are a robust and strong person who does not hold yourself back when you meet difficulties or personal resistance.
  • are a team player who also can work independently in solving tasks.

We offer

  • a super exciting leadership job and a workplace in development
  • a workplace with engaged employees, where the atmosphere is informal and there is room for differences
  • a thorough and professional onboarding process and a personal colleague mentor for the first year.
  • ongoing leadership supervision with external supervisor
  • a good collaboration with your manager where co-creation is highly valued.
  • a workday with varied and complex tasks
  • a workplace focused on development and learning
  • a collaboration, where the appreciative approach is used, where openness and integrity are valued highly
  • good opportunities for personal and professional development
  • managerial support, sparring and development
  • a workplace where there is room for new thinking and good ideas
