About the job

There are no two days that are the same as the Assistant Rehabilitation Leader in the Housing and Support Services and the Companion Scheme.

One day you brainstorm with colleagues about a pedagogical issue. The next day you work with operations, documentation or follow-up on occupational health and safety initiatives.

You have your office at Rytterkasernen together with your leadership team.

If this sounds like something for you, then you should read on, because we are currently seeking an Assistant Rehabilitation Leader who wants to be an active participant in the development of the Housing and Support Services and the Companion Scheme.

Current Assistant Rehabilitation Leader, Finn Paaske who is now retiring says: ” If I were 20-30 years younger, I would apply for this job. It is a really good leadership job”.

A workplace with many communities

The Housing and Support Services and the Companion Scheme consist of several smaller units at different locations. This means that you must be able to thrive by moving between different professional environments and staff groups.

Although the offerings are different, there is something that is the same everywhere: engaged staff, high professionalism and, most importantly, residents who remind us why our work is important.

The leadership team consists of a Rehabilitation Leader and two Assistant Rehabilitation Leaders.

We are currently seeking an Assistant Rehabilitation Leader who can see themselves in our work community and who wants to help further develop the Housing and Support Services and the Companion Scheme. An Assistant Rehabilitation Leader who can support daily operations, set the direction for professional development and at the same time safeguard the culture that makes employees stay with us for many years.

Specifically, you will have leadership responsibility for

Bo- og Støttetilbuddet Sprogøvej staffed 24/7

Bo- og Støttetilbuddet Åhuset

Bo- og Støttetilbuddet Rødegårdsvej

Bo- og Støttetilbuddet Æblegrenen staffed 24/7

We work with a rehabilitative approach, where appreciative pedagogy and resident involvement are not just professional concepts, but something we strive to translate into action every single day. Through resident meetings, collaboration plans and communal meals we support adults with lifelong disabilities to live independent and meaningful lives.

The most important thing for us is not that you can tick off every item on a list

Instead, we hope you have experience from the specialized social sector and leadership experience. You have a social-pedagogical background and a desire to be close to both staff and residents.

Since we have several residents with an autism diagnosis, we want a leader who has knowledge about autism.

You thrive in collaboration with others, listen when it is needed, and take charge when the situation calls for it. At the same time you have an eye for the link between professional development, well-being and the goals we as an organization work toward. You see the value of multidisciplinary collaboration and know that the best solutions often arise when different perspectives are brought into play.

In return you will…

With us you shall not just stand on the sidelines. We want you to contribute, take responsibility and help shape both everyday life and the future of our offerings. In return you get good colleagues and a leadership team that pulls together.

We provide a thorough onboarding process as well as the possibility, in due course, to pursue the Diploma in Leadership if you do not already have it.

Your tasks will include

  • Support daily operations and ensure a sensible planning of tasks and resources
  • Contribute to a strong working environment and a culture characterized by trust, cooperation and integrity
  • Hold staff and team meetings and support employees' professional development
  • Collaborate with residents, relatives, authorities and other partners
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the offering and the quality of our efforts
  • Be co-responsible for implementing organizational and policy decisions
  • Support economically responsible operations.

Respect, trust and direction

We hope to find a leader who meets both residents and staff with respect, trust and genuine interest.

A leader who is present and accessible in daily life, creates followership through dialogue and is capable of balancing operations, development and people management.

  • In addition, we envision that you:
  • have a relevant social-, pedagogy- or health-related education
  • have experience from the specialized social sector
  • have management experience or ambitions to develop yourself as a leader
  • have an eye for both professional development, well-being and organizational goals
  • thrive in a multidisciplinary environment and see the value of different perspectives.

In return you get the opportunity to make a real difference. You become part of a workplace with engaged employees, strong relationships and high professionalism. A workplace where we help each other, share knowledge and believe that we are most successful together.

We offer a thorough onboarding program, ongoing sparring and good opportunities for both professional and leadership development. And best of all: You become part of a community where the residents are always the starting point for our work and where the staff every day engage in creating the best possible living conditions for them.

We’ll treat you to a cup of coffee
