About the job
Do you have experience from the social sector and a desire to make a difference? Then it might be you we are looking for at Bofællesskabet Holmelunden!
Are you a committed and caring employee with experience working with adults with disabilities? Do you thrive on creating security, good relationships and meaningful everyday life? And would you like to become part of a professional community where collaboration, development and residents' quality of life are in focus?
This might be you for a fixed evening shift position at Bofællesskabet Holmelunden in the Municipality of Hvidovre.
We are seeking a experienced pedagogical assistant, social- and health helper, pedagogical assistant (PAU/PAV) or another employee with relevant experience from the social sector.
Regardless of who you are, the most important for us is that you have practical experience with the target group, a good understanding of working with people with special support needs and a desire to develop professionally together with your colleagues.
Welcome to Bofællesskabet Holmelunden
At Holmelunden you will become part of an engaged work community, where we every day work to create the best conditions for our 27 adult residents aged 18-60 with lasting cognitive and/or physical disabilities.
You will be employed for professionalism and collaboration
We believe that a good daily life is created through presence, respect, clear communication, good relationships and strong collaboration.
For us, residents' well-being, self-determination and quality of life are always the starting point for our work.
An evolving communal living space – where you can help make a difference
Holmelunden has in recent years been in an exciting development process. We have organized ourselves into two teams and continue to work on strengthening our culture, collaboration and shared professional approach.
Therefore we are seeking a colleague who wants to participate in the development, contribute with their experiences and be an active part of the community.
We value employees who take responsibility, share their knowledge, are curious and dare to bring ideas on how we together can create an even better everyday life for the residents.
Everyday life with us
The residents at Holmelunden have different resources, wishes and support needs. Most are in day care or employed during the day, while some have home days, where we work with individual goals and activities, among other things.
Afternoons and evenings offer community, practical tasks, cooking and cozy moments in our two communal kitchens.
As an employee you become an important part of the residents' everyday life. You will among other things help to:
- Create security, structure and predictability in daily life.
- Support residents in daily activities, personal care and practical tasks based on their individual needs.
- Support residents' self-determination, development and quality of life.
- Build and maintain good and trusting relationships.
- Contribute to the community and the social activities in the residential community.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues on the joint effort around the residents.
- Observe, document and pass on relevant information about residents' well-being and development.
We place great emphasis on Holmelunden primarily being the residents' home . Therefore we work with respect for each individual's wishes, needs and dreams.
Security, collaboration and a shared professional approach
Some of our residents may occasionally show emotional outbursts. Therefore we have a strong focus on prevention, security and close collegial collaboration.
All staff wear alarms so we can be in contact with each other since we move around the area alone if there is a need for it. It is important to us that no one stands alone in situations where help is needed.
We work with LA2 (Low Arousal 2) as part of our shared pedagogical approach. Here we focus on understanding residents' behavior, preventing conflicts and creating solutions that take the individual resident's needs and well-being into account.
Work with LA2 is followed up through professional supervision, where we reflect together on concrete situations, share experiences and develop our common practice.
We believe that a safe work environment is created through openness, clear communication, professional reflection and colleagues who help each other.
You will become part of a professional community
At Holmelunden we work with a basis in neuro-pedagogy and use, among others, methods such as LA2, Appreciative and Motivating Approach.
You do not need to know all of our methods beforehand. We provide thorough introduction and training so you get the necessary tools to participate in the work.
We also work with documentation in Cura, including intervention goals and sub-goals.
We do not expect you to know everything from day one, but we expect you to be curious, engaged, contribute to the professional tasks but also participate in collaboration with your colleagues – also on days when unforeseen things may occur and that you of course want to learn
What you can look forward to with us
We offer, among other things
- A meaningful job with 27 wonderful residents.
- A thorough introduction and a well-organized onboarding program.
- Training in neuro-pedagogy, LA2 and other relevant pedagogical methods.

- A workplace where we value collaboration, reflection and professional development.
- Room for humor, laughter and a positive approach to each other and the residents.
We believe there is a positive intent behind every behavior, and that through curiosity, understanding and shared reflection we can find the best solutions.
Who are you?
We imagine that you are a pedagogical assistant, social- and health helper, pedagogical assistant (PAU/PAV) or have another relevant background.
It is important that you have experience working with people with cognitive and/or physical disabilities or from a similar social welfare field.

- Willing to learn new things and develop your skills.
- Being able to articulate yourself clearly in writing and willing to work with documentation.
