Assistant Nursing Home Manager for the Special Care Home Sirius

About the position/place of work

The Sirius Nursing Home is the only one of its kind in Aalborg Municipality. There is room for 72 residents, arranged in 6 housing units, of which one unit is mainly for deaf residents and one is for older people over 55 with mental illness, the remaining are general somatic places.

We are a nursing home that values high professional competence and professional collaboration while, at the same time, staff have influence on specific tasks.

As an assistant nursing home manager you will be part of a close and trusted management collaboration between the nursing home manager and an assistant manager besides you.

You will become a central sparring partner in daily operations and play an important role in ensuring that both residents and staff experience a daily life characterized by quality, well-being and coherence.

You will join the management of c. 70 engaged employees.

Appointment from 1 February 2027 or by agreement.

Your core tasks will be

• Health professional responsibility and professional leadership with responsibility to support quality and coherence in residents' care pathways.
• Mentorship responsibility and collaboration with educational institutions.
• Daily professional sparring, coordination and leadership.
• Administrative tasks including Cura and Silkeborg Data.
• Collaboration with relatives, volunteers and multidisciplinary partners.
• Contribute to the implementation of holistic care and the Elderly Act.
• Responsible for UTH work.

We expect you to have

Professional competencies

• Has a health care education.
• Has experience with leadership or a clear leadership talent and motivation to develop as a leader.
• Can translate strategies and political decisions into clear everyday direction.
• IT-savvy.
• Psychiatric experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Personal competencies

• Are clear, authentic and respectful in your communication.
• Passionate about leadership and motivated to achieve results through and with others.
• Thrive in the role of a presence-based leader and be able to build trusting relationships with residents, relatives and staff.
• Are structured, systematic and have strong organizational skills.
• Can prioritize and maintain an overview in a daily life with many diverse tasks.
• Dare to lead, take responsibility and make decisions, even when the task is complex.
• Actively contribute to a management collaboration characterized by openness, reflection and mutual sparring.

According to the current collective agreement between KL and the negotiating party organization.
