About the position and the workplace

About Fjordparken Nursing Home

Fjordparken Nursing Home is situated in a scenic area in Hals with a view of the Limfjord and the ferry connection between Hals and Egense. Here we create the framework for a secure and homely daily life, where community, care, and respect for the individual are at the center.

Fjordparken has 50 places distributed as follows

  • 6 respite places.
  • 16 dementia places distributed across two departments
  • 28 somatic places distributed across two departments

Fjordparken is characterized by a homely environment, strong communities, and a close connection to the local community. Our dedicated staff take the individual resident's wishes, resources, and needs as the starting point every day and work purposefully to promote self-determination, well-being, and a meaningful everyday life.

A home with life, community, and presence

At Fjordparken we create a daily life with vitality, presence, and meaningful communities. We offer a wide range of activities and experiences across the nursing home, so there is opportunity for participation, companionship, and joy for everyone – regardless of interests and needs.

We base our approach on each person's life story, habits, and interests and emphasize that residents have influence over their own daily life. With the values of the Older People’s Act as our starting point—self-determination, trust, and close collaboration with relatives, volunteers, and the local community—we strive to create the framework for a life with meaning and quality of life.

Volunteers, relatives, and local communities are important partners in our daily life. Together we create activities, presence, and experiences that bridge the nursing home and the outside world – and allow space for both community and individual wishes.

Your role as nursing home leader

As nursing home leader at Fjordparken you will join a management team consisting of you and an experienced and capable deputy leader. Together you share responsibility for ensuring smooth operations, high professional quality, and ongoing development of the nursing home.

You will have the overall management responsibility for approximately 68 employees, where your task is to set direction, create followers, and secure the framework for smooth operations and high professional quality. The workforce and the deputy leader comprise extensive professional knowledge and specialized competencies, which provide a solid foundation for both daily task execution and ongoing development. Your task will be to bring these competencies into play, set direction, and create a framework for shared responsibility and professional quality.

At Fjordparken we take as our starting point René Jensen's Reach out for collaboration – thank you! We expect that you as leader take active responsibility for developing strong working communities where collaboration and professionalism go hand in hand. You must set the direction for collaboration, support psychological safety, and create the framework for professional sparring, reflection, and learning.

Through clear and relationship-building leadership you must ensure that employees' competencies are utilized, and that shared responsibility and constructive dialogue contribute to high professional quality in care and nursing.
