Attorney trainee for IP litigation and international patent litigation

At Patrade Legal we are seeking a 1st- or 2nd-year trainee to our litigation team in Aalborg .

We offer a unique opportunity to build a career as a specialist in IP litigation with a particular focus on patent-related and technically complex IP disputes, commercial dispute resolution, and litigation before both Danish courts and the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

As a trainee with us you will be part of a highly specialized team working with some of the most complex disputes in IP and technology. You will work closely with and learn from experienced litigation lawyers, technical experts and international partners on matters that often have significant commercial and strategic importance for our clients.

About the position

We offer a broad trainee education within IP, but with a clear focus on developing you into a specialist in litigation and handling of complex disputes.

You will among other things work with

• Patent disputes before Danish courts and the Unified Patent Court (UPC)
• Litigation strategy, preservation of evidence and enforcement of intellectual property rights
• Commercial disputes and questions of contract interpretation
• Preparation of legal analyses, pleadings, procedural briefs and commercial IP agreements
• Collaboration with technical experts, patent consultants and foreign lawyers

You will receive early responsibility and influence over your tasks.

We provide the necessary legal and commercial grounding so you can continually develop professionally and personally.

Who are you?

We imagine that you are either a newly graduated cand.jur. or currently in a legal role as either a trainee or something else.

Perhaps you already know that you want to work with IP and litigation. Perhaps you don't. But you are motivated by complex legal issues and by finding answers where they are not obvious.

You are analytical, methodical and strategically minded. You thrive on immersion and derive satisfaction from the legal detective work, where thorough analysis and perseverance help you find the path forward. You want to understand both the legal, technical and commercial aspects of a case and can maintain an overview, even when issues are complex.

At the same time you are a team player who wants to become part of a specialized team where collaboration, professional sparring and shared results are highly valued.
