Backend developer with a focus on integrations for a web platform in Azure and on-premises

Our office

The Digital Channels Office has 25 employees and is located in the Development and Simplification Agency (UFST), which is part of the Tax Administration. We work with IT solutions for the entire Tax Administration and Growth Ministry group and thereby deliver solutions to all citizens and businesses in Denmark. This means we are the link between internal systems in the Tax Administration as well as between the Tax Administration and Growth Ministry and the surrounding society.

In our office we are responsible for the operation and development of the Digital Experience Platform (DOP), on which more than 15 of the ministry's websites are hosted, including skat.dk, which has over 30 million visits annually.

We have transitioned from a self-developed CMS to a new platform in Azure with Umbraco and APIs in a headless frontend setup. We work agile, team-based and following a DevOps mindset. We mainly use Microsoft Tech Stack and Azure Devops (ADO). Other coding languages may also occur.

You will join a team of 8 with high professionalism, consisting of frontend and backend developers, an analyst, tester/test manager, SCRUM master and a deputy head. We also have external developers attached to our team. In addition, the office consists of a UX team as well as business-facing colleagues. We have a strong focus on delivering value to our customers in the Tax Administration and Growth Ministry group as well as to citizens and businesses.

About the position

With us you will have the opportunity to try your hand at various operational and development tasks. You will need to find the famous needles in the haystack when something is misbehaving and help solve complex development requests and thereby develop your skills.

As a backend developer with a focus on integrations you will work across the board and ensure data presentation and handling of payments. You will play a crucial role in the team, where the following tasks include:

• Follow-up on bugs and operational problems.
• Troubleshoot, analyze causes and fix issues across the DOP and related solutions.
• Maintain code and technical dependencies, including performing updates and security fixes.
• Maintain, further develop and test backend functionality and integrations.
• Handle technical support inquiries and coordinate fixes with relevant system owners and vendors.
• Translate business needs into concrete technical solutions.
• Analyze, break down and estimate operational, maintenance and development tasks.
• Maintain documentation of interfaces, data flow and operating procedures.
• Actively participate in code reviews and technical sparring and contribute to shared architectural decisions and management of technical debt.

There will be a logical test and a personality assessment as part of the employment process.
