Aarhus Municipality has become part of UngHavn Danmark, and with UngiAarhus as a starting point, we now develop UngHavn Aarhus.

UngHavn is a service for young people from 7th grade to 18 years old who need new communities and practical learning environments. With the sea as a focal point we create frameworks for community, personal development, craftsmanship, mastery and new opportunities.

We are looking for an employee who can both build strong relationships with young people and help build a maritime youth environment in Aarhus.

You will become a central part of the development of UngHavn Aarhus and have a great influence on how the service is shaped.

The position spans broadly. One day you are with young people on the harbour, at sea or teaching an activity. The next day you develop new projects, coordinate collaborations or meet with associations and maritime actors.

You must be able to see opportunities, build relationships and translate ideas into action. At the same time, you must be able to create structure and momentum in a project that is still under development.

A significant part of the work takes place in the youths' spare time, and you should therefore expect that a substantial part of working hours is in afternoons and evenings.

Your main tasks

Development of UngHavn Aarhus

• develop and run activities, projects and communities for young people
• translate ideas into concrete offers and experiences
• contribute to the ongoing development of UngHavn Aarhus

Relations and communities

• build strong relationships with young people
• support an inclusive and attractive youth environment
• engage volunteers and partners in the community

Collaboration and networks

• create connections between UngiAarhus and the maritime environment in Aarhus
• develop collaborations with associations, companies, educational institutions and volunteers
• identify resources and opportunities that can strengthen UngHavn

Coordination and project work

• plan and coordinate activities and projects
• create overview and ensure progress
• contribute to fundraising, documentation and communication

About you

We are looking for you who thrives in meeting with young people and is motivated to create communities and opportunities together with them.

You can work independently, take responsibility and create momentum, while being good at collaborating with many different people.

We imagine that you

• have experience in developing and implementing projects or activities
• are strong at building relationships and good at collaboration
• can create structure and overview in complex tasks
• have knowledge of or experience from the maritime environment
• see opportunities and translate ideas into action
• communicate clearly and engagingly, both verbally and in writing

We do not expect you to know everything from day one. The most important thing is that you want to help develop a new offering and create something meaningful together with young people.

We emphasize

It is advantageous if you have experience with

• project or process management
• collaboration across organizations and disciplines
• fundraising and grant applications
• communication and social media
• working with children and youth
• collaboration with volunteers and associations

In addition, we expect you to have a good knowledge of or experience from the maritime environment.

About UngiAarhus

You will become part of UngiAarhus, where we work every day to create communities, activities and development opportunities for children and young people in Aarhus.

In the position you will have a broad cooperation surface with colleagues, young people, volunteers, associations and maritime actors. You will also have the opportunity to draw on experiences and inspiration from the national UngHavn collaboration.

Salary and employment

This is a 30-hour per week project position. Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement at Uddannelsesforbundet. Collective Agreement - Youth School | Uddannelsesforbundet

A child and criminal record check will be obtained prior to employment.
