Be the driving force behind our IGU initiative (fixed-term contract)

Do you want to help create concrete job opportunities for refugees and family-reunified citizens and at the same time assist local companies in finding motivated employees?

In Hvidovre Municipality we are strengthening our efforts around the Integration Basic Education (IGU) and are seeking an engaged IGU guider/coach who can bridge the gap between citizens and businesses and deliver results that make a noticeable difference.

This is a 1-year project appointment with the possibility of extension if the scheme is extended.

IGU combines paid internship and classroom teaching and is designed to help refugees and family-reunified individuals achieve a lasting connection to the labour market. Here, the job centre plays a central role as the link between citizen and company.

Your tasks

You will be the driving force of the IGU initiative and will

• Identify and match citizens with concrete job opportunities.
• Develop collaborations with companies on IGU pathways.
• Ensure that the IGU pathways are successful for both companies and citizens.
• Advise citizens, employers and colleagues about the IGU scheme
• Coordinate educational pathways and administrative processes - Work with authorities, registrations and case processing.

We imagine that you

• Have experience with employer-oriented initiatives and can understand the needs of employers.
• Have experience with the target group and the legislation in the field.
• Build trusting relationships and work naturally across citizens, companies and colleagues.
• Can translate companies’ needs into concrete job and education opportunities.
• Work in a structured manner and thrive with both coordination and administration.
• Master Danish in writing and speaking and can communicate in English

Who are we?

You will become part of the Integration Team in the Employment and Citizens Service Center. We are a small, professionally strong team with a high degree of sparring and helpfulness. We believe the best results are created in collaboration, and we help each other when tasks demand it.

The team consists of employment advisers, corporate consultant, mentor, administrative staff and team leader. Together we work to ensure that citizens with an integration background gain footholds in the labor market.
