About the job

Are you looking for a workplace where community, interdisciplinary collaboration, and holistic efforts are core values and at the same time aim for a psychology professional community where professional development and shared learning are in focus? Then Roskilde PPR may be something for you.

We can right now offer two permanent positions in the early childhood and school sector. Both positions are full-time as of January 1, 2027. We are seeking psychologists to serve both the special and general education areas.

In Roskilde PPR we, together with schools and day care centers, are focused on the ambition to strengthen learning environments so that all children and young people can thrive and learn and develop. We work from the political vision that more children and young people are ensured good well-being and development in their local environments. In Roskilde we believe that the smallest unit is always the relationship and we make a point of meeting in local work communities with the aim of creating and supporting strong child communities, relationship-capable adults and engaging teaching.

A little about us… PPR Roskilde is a multidisciplinary organization with about 80 employees. We are organized in a 0-6 year team and a school team. Both teams consist of interdisciplinary groups of staff representing different professional approaches to children's learning, well-being and development. In both the early childhood and school areas there are psychologists and speech therapists as well as special pedagogical advisors and consultants with a background in either pedagogy or teaching with various post-qualifications.

A little about what we offer… As a new employee you can expect a thorough introduction to both the organization and your tasks. You will also be assigned a mentor from the psychology group and there is also an option for close sparring with a psychology professional coordinator and the department head. In Roskilde Municipality we have clear guidelines for collaboration on children’s and young people’s well-being, and you will therefore become part of an organization where collaboration within and across day care centers, schools, PPR and Children & Young People is well defined. In addition you can expect:

  • A workplace characterized by a high degree of trust and influence and with a continual focus on a good and safe working environment.
  • A workplace where professional development is highly prioritized with courses, supervision (both monodisciplinary and cross-disciplinary) and sparring.
  • 2 hours of weekly internal group supervision (the psychology group is divided into three groups with at least one colleague in each who can provide practice-qualifying supervision).
  • Opportunity for specialist-approved supervision and ongoing sparring from the psychology professional coordinator.
  • Opportunity for external supervision if you do not yet have authorization/practice education.
  • Opportunity for cafeteria scheme as well as loan of electric bikes and -cars.

A little about the psychology group… As an employee in PPR Roskilde you will become part of a psychology group consisting of 19 professionally engaged colleagues, who are ready with collegial support and sparring. We are a mixed group consisting of psychologists with both short and long experience. As a group we place high value on both professional collaboration and sparring, but also have a tradition of contributing with social events outside working hours. We work in pairs (both mono- and multi-disciplinary) and with the possibility to visit each other’s practices.

A little about the psychologists’ tasks… As PPR psychologists we are committed to applying our professional knowledge in ways that contribute to supporting that all children and young people are part of a strong community and that calls for us to often take on several and varied tasks in the collaboration here including:

  • Exploratory conversations with children, young people and their parents.
  • Advice and guidance to parents and pedagogical staff.
  • Supervision for professionals in the 0-6 year area and in the school area.
  • Planning and conducting programs in the 0-6 year area and the school area in collaboration with professionals and interdisciplinary colleagues in PPR.
  • Investigative work based on tests, observations and questionnaires.
  • Preparation of educational psychological assessments and referrals to child and adolescent psychiatry.

A little about you… We are seeking a psychologist and colleague who can recognize themselves in several of the points below.

  • Have a degree of cand.psych. or cand.pæd.psych.
  • Have interest in and/or experience with serving schools in the special education area
  • Motivated for the pedagogical psychological working area and driven by working with complex processes and issues and values a high degree of methodological freedom.
  • Work from a systemic, resource-oriented perspective and insist that interventions have a strong link to the community or take their starting point in the community.
  • Be professionally skilled and able to translate and communicate knowledge into practice both through advice and guidance and by participating in practical programs with professionals.
  • Have overview and ability to independently plan and execute tasks.
  • See the value in interdisciplinary problem solving and actively contribute to it.

If you would like further information about the positions or if you are simply curious to feel whether we could be the community for you, you are welcome to contact department head Rasmus Skriver at tel. 24 61 95 86.
