About the position

At Olivia Danmark we provide special pedagogical support (SPS) to students with psychological and/or neurological functional impairments in all short- and medium-length higher education programs in Denmark. As a study mentor you will be an important support for one or more students. You help the student tailor the study program both practically and socially, and support them in handling the challenges they encounter in their daily study life.

You make a difference for the student by, among other things, providing support to

• To get an overview and plan the semester
• To read/translate social codes in the education
• To develop strategies regarding teaching preparation e.g. note-taking techniques and reading
• To understand and manage educational requirements and expectations as well as registration for exams
• To structure and prioritise the curriculum e.g. through study plans

Who are you?

You are passionate about making a difference in a fellow student’s study day. You are structured, diligent and find it easy to share your knowledge and experience with others. It is important that you have a good understanding of the study environment you are part of, and that you can tailor your support to the individual student’s needs. We do not expect that you have knowledge of or familiarity with psychological and/or neurological impairments, but that you are simply curious to become wiser about how you can support the student.

To be a study mentor you must be enrolled in the same education as the student receiving SPS, or at least at the same educational institution and have completed at least the first half-year of your education.

As a study mentor at Olivia Danmark we offer among other things

• Flexibility in planning your working hours so it fits with your study and possibly other jobs
• Possibility for up to 20 hours per semester per student
• A secure onboarding and the possibility to participate in workshops and supervision
• A fixed, attached contact person who supports you along the way
• Salary between 150 and 160 kr. per hour plus accrual of holiday pay
