Take professional ownership of our Keycloak environment

Integration platforms are an office with 28 employees, plus a number of external consultants, where we are responsible for our integration platforms, with particular focus on secure and compliant data exchange, which exposes data about citizens' tax affairs to external and internal data recipients.

We have established a strong and mature Keycloak setup with custom providers (SPI's). It is a strategically important component that ensures identity and access management (IAM) when exchanging data between our central platforms and systems. Since our current architect needs to build new solutions, we are looking for you who want to take over full professional ownership, operations and further development of this environment.

Whether you are already a Keycloak specialist, or a strong backend profile with a desire to develop into a specialist within IAM, we offer a unique position with a dedicated workflow and deep professional focus.

Technologies in your daily work

You will work with a modern and solid technology stack. Since the newer Keycloak ecosystem is built on Quarkus , it is essential that you are strong in Java so you can read, understand and further develop our existing solutions and custom providers .

You will primarily work with

• Keycloak & Quarkus (Configuration, deployment, runtime optimization and clustering)
• Java (Our custom providers and extensions are built in Java)
• OAuth2 / OIDC (OpenID Connect)
• Kubernetes / Docker (For operation, deployment and scaling of the platform)
• CI/CD (Automation of the infrastructure)

About you

You have a relevant IT education (e.g., computer science, data scientist, engineer) and solid practical experience with software development. You don’t need to be an infallible superhero in Keycloak from day one. We value your technical logic and your desire to dive deep into a specialty.

We imagine that you match one of these two profiles

• The specialist: You have already worked with Keycloak and Quarkus in complex enterprise environments. You are motivated by gaining full ownership of a stable platform where you can set the professional direction.
• The upcoming specialist: You have a solid understanding of IT security and hands-on experience with production systems. In addition, you have experience with Java (perhaps with knowledge of Quarkus, Spring Boot or similar frameworks) and with building a custom Keycloak provider. And you have the courage to take over an existing setup and see it as a unique opportunity to become a Keycloak specialist.

You will be employed under the collective agreements in force for academics in the state (AC), the agreement for office clerks, laboratory technicians and IT staff (HK) or the agreement for clerical staff, etc. (DTS) in the Tax and Growth Ministry. A criminal background check will be obtained prior to employment.
