We are looking for an engaged and caring social- and health care helper/social- and health care assistant for our evening shift, who wishes to make a difference in residents' daily lives and contribute to good collaboration in a strong collegial community.

The position is 37 hours per week with start on 1 December 2026. We are flexible and will, as far as possible, like to accommodate your wishes regarding hours.

The position involves working every 2nd weekend in odd weeks for the rest of 2026 and even weeks in 2027.

• be educated as a social- and health care helper/social- and health care assistant.
• have experience from the elderly care sector or a desire to develop your skills within care and nursing.
• be good at creating security, presence and structure in residents' daily lives.

About Thurøhus

Thurøhus Nursing Home is located on the scenic Thurø in peaceful surroundings – just a beautiful walk across Skårupøresund from Funen. Here we put residents' current life situations and their dreams at the center, and it is them who set the course for our work. Our team consists of around 40 dedicated employees, spread across social- and health care helpers, social- and health care assistants, nurses, students, and flex jobbers.

In Svendborg Municipality, the salary for this type of position typically lies between 33,962 and 46,820 DKK per month for full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday allowance and fixed allowances. There may also be working-time allowances and other special allowances. It is important to note that your specific salary is determined by your experience, seniority and competences and agreed upon in negotiation with the relevant trade union.
