About the position

We are seeking a service assistant/employee who wants to become part of a strong team in psychiatry at Hospital Unit Midt. With us, no day is the same, and you will encounter a daily life with both fixed routines and tasks that require you to adapt quickly. You will play an important role in creating safe and inviting surroundings for patients, relatives and staff.

The position is 37 hours per week with start on January 1, 2027. The schedule includes both day and evening shifts, as well as every other weekend. You will become part of a service team that daily ensures that the five psychiatry wards function optimally – for both patients and clinical staff.

Your primary tasks

• Cleaning of common areas, patient rooms and treatment rooms in all five wards, so the environment always appears clean and inviting
• Food handling and hygiene, including heating and preparation of patient meals as well as dishwashing
• Procurement for the ward
• Participation in practical tasks that support patients’ well-being and daily life on the wards

On-boarding and training

In connection with your start, you will receive a thorough introduction to the department and tasks. We prioritize that you feel secure in the tasks, and you will be assigned a fixed mentor who helps you get started well. No one is thrown into something they are not comfortable with – we work together and use each other’s professional knowledge along the way. After 2 years of employment we expect you to take the HSA training.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement in the field.

With reference to the Act on Child Certificates in connection with the employment of staff, etc., a child certificate will be obtained in connection with any potential employment.
