About the job

Be part of the engine room behind the green tripartite

Denmark is currently undergoing a historic green transition. Building on the agreement for a Green Denmark, we are targetedly working with the actions that will secure the climate, nature and the water environment of the future – from drainage of low-lying farmland to the establishment of wetlands and biodiversity forests.

In the Nature Subsidy Unit, we are the engine of this development. We administer the subsidy schemes that form the foundation for agriculture, municipalities and businesses to realize the green projects that make a real difference. We now seek an experienced profile for Team Technical Development & Coordination, who will take a key role in shaping Denmark’s green future

As a specialist with us you will

  • Drive professional development: You help define the rules and practices that will support the green transition.
  • Handle complexity: You make difficult professional decisions within, among others, low-lying land projects and nitrogen regulation.
  • Bridge between policy and practice: You ensure that political ambitions are technically grounded and can be implemented effectively in agriculture.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who already has a strong profile within agriculture or the environment. We imagine you are an agronomist, biologist or have a similar natural science background. You are not new to the field; you have experience navigating the complex interests that exist between agriculture, nature and authority.

We place a high value on the following

  • Proven experience from a central role in, for example, an agricultural organization, consultancy, or a technical environmental department in a municipality.
  • Specialist knowledge in agricultural regulation, environmental law or the specific environmental challenges (e.g. emissions or soil conditions).
  • Ability to act with authority: You can maintain your professional integrity while being solutions-oriented and professional in your communication.

We offer

  • A central role in the green transition of our time : You will have direct influence on the processes that shape Denmark’s future land use.
  • Flexibility based on trust : We believe the best results are created when there is balance in work life. Therefore we offer flexible terms through flextime and the possibility of remote work following the agency’s guidelines. For us, it’s about creating a flexible everyday life that makes sense for the individual, while we as a team ensure tasks are solved optimally and operations always hang together.
  • A strong and dedicated community : You will become part of a unit with about 50 colleagues, where high professionalism and good collegial camaraderie are the foundation of our work.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are determined in accordance with the current general agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic associations for academics in the state (the Academic Agreement). Depending on your experience and competences, you will be employed as a higher grade or senior advisor. If your educational background dictates, the appointment will be made under another relevant applicable agreement.

The appointment area is the Ministry of Nature and Animal Welfare with the associated institutions, and the workplace is the Agency for Green Area Reallocation and Water Environment, Pioner Allé 9, 6270 Tønder.
