About the job
3 hours per week with meaning, laughter and movement. Create safety, structure and fun experiences for a lovely boy with a big heart. Of huge significance to him.
It involves 3 hours on Wednesdays in one week and 3 hours on Saturdays in the other week in Kastrup on Amager. Start as soon as possible.
What is the job about?
You will be an important part of his daily life - a stable and patient adult he will look forward to spending time with. As a newborn he suffered a brain hemorrhage and is therefore cognitively impaired. He has impaired short-term memory, learning difficulties and atypical autism. He also has epilepsy, but these are very few seizures per year.
He loves football, basketball, cycling, the swimming pool and going to the library to print pictures of his current interests - he would love it if you are willing to share in his interests!
You will need to help with
- To create a safe and relationship-building companionship
- To prepare him for shifts and transitions (e.g. with a clock and clear structure)
- To take initiative for joint activities
- To support him in handling frustrations with calm and time
We’re looking for you who
- Are calm, stable and patient
- Can accommodate repetitions
- Are curious and want to dive into his interests
- Have experience with autism, cognitive challenges and special education is an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important is your personality and commitment!
It is not many hours, but you will gain a relationship that really means something!
