Can you speak Ukrainian or Russian? Would you accompany a boy to school?

Do you have experience with children with special needs, and are you good at creating calm and security? We are looking for a permanent companion for a boy, where communication can take place in Russian, Ukrainian, or with support from Google Translate.

About the task

We are seeking a calm and patient collaborator for a boy with autism, ADHD and developmental delay. The boy has a limited verbal language and uses a few words in Russian. He needs a safe and recognizable person who can create calm and predictability during the transport to and from school.

Your task will be to meet the boy at home and accompany him to school in a taxi provided by the service. During the journey you should be present and attentive to his needs so the transport becomes a safe experience. When you arrive at the school, you will stay in a separate room until the boy is dismissed. Thereafter you follow him home again by taxi.

This is a companion task, where your most important role is to create security and ensure a calm transition between home and school.

About you

You have experience with or a good understanding of children with autism, ADHD and developmental delay. You have a calm and patient approach and can create security through your presence and a predictable approach.

You are attentive to nonverbal communication and can adapt your support to the boy's needs. You can communicate in Russian or Ukrainian or are prepared to use Google Translate as support in communication.

Working hours

The position is 14 hours per week during school weeks, distributed on four fixed days

Monday to Thursday 09:00–12:30.

Working hours include both transportation to and from school and waiting time while the boy is at school.

Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement for home care assistance for citizens in their own homes (minus BPA) entered into between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and workers' compensation insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
