About the job

Are you the type who loves to bring things together to a higher level? Do you thrive with responsibility, coordination and collaboration, and are you motivated by making a difference for patients every single day?

Then it might be you we are looking for.

At the Rigshospitalet Department of Transplantation and Diseases of the Digestive System we are seeking a medical secretary or health administrative coordinator who wants to become part of a secretariat where professionalism, humor and camaraderie are as important as structure and quality.

We expect to hire on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible.

Who are we?

We are 16 dedicated secretaries spread across medical and surgical specialities. Together we are an important part of the department’s everyday life and patient pathways. Although we work with complex and highly specialised patient pathways, the atmosphere is informal, helpful and characterized by good collegiality.

With us you are never alone. We pull together, share knowledge and help each other when it’s busy. At the same time there is room for laughter, sparring and good stories over a cup of coffee.

What will you be working with?

You will play a central role in coordinating patient pathways and become an important partner for patients, doctors, nurses and other professional groups.

Your tasks can include, among others

✅ Coordination, booking and registration of patient pathways

✅ Handling referrals

✅ Booking of examinations, treatments and blood tests

✅ Telephone and counter service

✅ Follow-up on worklists and registrations in the Health Platform

✅ Minute-taking from MDT conferences and ensuring correct documentation in patient pathways

✅ Administrative tasks to support the department’s operations

✅ Contributing to good and coherent patient pathways across wards and specialities

Who are you?

You are educated as a medical secretary or health administrative coordinator, and you take pride in delivering high quality in your work.

In addition, we imagine that you

⭐ Thrive with responsibility and work independently

⭐ Have an eye for detail without losing the overview

⭐ Are service-minded and meet patients and colleagues with a smile

⭐ Are a team player who contributes positively to the community

⭐ Thrive in a multi-contact environment

⭐ Are flexible and see solutions rather than limitations

⭐ Enjoy developing yourself both professionally and personally

⭐ Have experience with the Health Platform or are keen to learn it

What do we offer?

With us you don’t just get a job. You get the opportunity to become part of a department where secretaries’ skills and efforts are essential for patient pathways to succeed.

We offer

✨ An exciting position in one of the country’s most specialised departments

✨ Thorough onboarding and a mentoring scheme

✨ Skilled, engaged and helpful colleagues

✨ Opportunities for courses, skills development and continuing education

✨ Independent and varied work tasks

✨ Influence over your working day
