About the job

Do you want a job where your effort makes a real difference every single day? Do you thrive with a varied workday, good colleagues, and a strong sense of community? Then you now have the opportunity to become part of Supply & Service at Aarhus University Hospital.

We are recruiting dedicated service assistants for Preparation and Recovery in the South. Here you will play an important role in the daily life at the hospital, contributing to a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for both patients and staff.

A daily life with variety and responsibility

As a service assistant you will primarily work in Preparation and Recovery, which is anchored in OP South. Therefore it is important that you thrive in a changing daily life where no day is exactly the same. You will take a central role in ensuring high quality and good service, while collaborating closely with colleagues from different professional groups. We are also part of the heart stoppage team, which responds to cardiac arrests and abc-calls throughout the South. It is therefore a requirement for us that all employees, after completing training, can access this function.

The position is on an average of 37 hours per week with day shifts Monday to Friday. In addition, you work every 4th weekend. Since the hospital is open 24/7, you will also have shifts on holidays e.g. around Christmas/New Year and Easter.

Start date is from January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

We are looking for you who

  • Have a desire to work with cleaning, service and patient mobilization/mobilities in a hospital environment as well as patient transport
  • Takes responsibility and can prioritise your tasks – even when it is busy
  • Are collaborative and contribute positively to the team spirit
  • Face changes and new challenges with a positive attitude
  • Are service-minded and thrive in contact with people
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team
  • Are flexible and ready to help across departments when needed
  • Are reliable and punctual
  • Have good IT skills and are familiar with PCs, smartphones, etc.
  • Speak and write Danish at a good level (minimum passed FVU Danish level 3)

It is an advantage if you have experience from service sectors or working with people, but we also welcome you if you come from another industry and are seeking new challenges.

If you are not already trained as a service assistant, you must be prepared to complete the training in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

You can read the job and function description here as well as watch a video of what we service assistants do here .

With us you get

  • Engaged, helpful and positive colleagues who value collaboration
