About the job

2-year appointment focusing on well-being and completion – possibility for extension

All students can succeed, but not everyone needs the same help. You ensure that those who need an extra hand receive it. Are you good at reading people, seeing solutions rather than limitations, and believing that everyone can succeed? And do you want to help create the very best education municipality? Then you are the one we are looking for.

What is the job about?

You will be an important support for students in the basic programs, PA, SSH- and SSA education. Your primary task is to coordinate and provide SPS support in internship periods, so that the students get the conditions they need to thrive and complete. In addition you talk to the students, listen to them and help them forward, both one-to-one and in groups where they can strengthen each other. The goal is less absence and dropout and more motivation and well-being - academically and socially.

What you will do

  • Coordinate and provide SPS support in internship periods
  • Provide individual support and be a mentor for students with academic or personal challenges
  • Follow up on sick leave and participate in relevant conversations
  • Plan and facilitate group activities, well-being initiatives and student cafés
  • Support the role of the apprenticeship mentors
  • Develop and implement tools that strengthen students’ well-being
  • Collaborate closely with the education team and other actors

What you have

  • Healthcare background and strong professional grounding, preferably as a nurse
  • Experience with mentoring, guidance and preferably simulation
  • Experience working concretely with students’ learning challenges
  • Driver’s license B

It’s an advantage if you have

  • Experience with special educational support
  • Familiarity with SOSU education programs
  • Experience from municipal development work

We also hope you are

  • Truly good at relationship-building, and understands that people have different needs
  • Good at reading others and sensing what is needed for a student to move forward
  • Solution-oriented, so you see opportunities rather than limitations
  • Convinced that everyone can succeed, and you get students to believe it themselves
  • Independent and organized, and good at prioritizing when daily life is busy
  • Development-oriented with a natural drive to see tasks through to completion
  • Team player and bridge-builder who meets operations with great respect
  • Visible and proactive, both around the municipality and on the school side

This is what your daily life looks like

No day is the same. Monday you might plan a student cafe. Tuesday you sit with basic-program students at the school. And later in the week you ensure that a student’s support in the practicum is in place, and bring together the right professionals for an intervention. You are very much out in practice, but you have your own office in the Center staff and the possibility to work from home.

Your new team and colleagues

Your professional base will be the education team, a small and close team passionate about the field of education and to give students the best possible conditions. Here you have experienced colleagues you can brainstorm with daily, who share your drive.

The team is part of the Office for Social, Health & Care, where we are 15 engaged colleagues with a wide range of professional backgrounds. We are a mix of specialists and generalists, handling political liaison in the Social, Health and Care domain – and at the same time leading projects across the entire centre. We love working together, with each other and with colleagues across the municipality.

We have fun and really enjoy working together, and we take care of each other and the work environment. We have short chains of command and trust-based leadership, so you get a lot of freedom to do things your way and lots of room to develop. And we have smoke-free working hours.

The practicalities

  • Position period: 1 January 2027 – 31 December 2029
  • Working hours: 30 hours/week
  • Salary: According to the current collective agreement and qualifications
  • Workplace: Center Staff, Faxe Municipality
  • Application deadline: 08.11.26
  • Interviews: 13.11.26. Possible 2nd interview on 16.11.26
