Children, Youth and Families, Brøndby Municipality, is seeking two social workers for respectively a permanent position and a maternity leave cover in our Reception

Our skilled colleague is going on maternity leave and at the same time we are expanding the department, and we are therefore looking for two engaged child and youth advisers for our Reception.

Children, Young People and Families need you, who are trained social workers or social facilitators, and who find job satisfaction in applying, developing and challenging your professional skills in a everyday where no day is the same. We want employees who want to work to make a difference for children and young people in vulnerable positions together with their families and networks.

About us

Children, Young People and Families is physically located at Brøndby Town Hall and consists of 40 child- and youth advisers, a family foster care consultant, student assistants, four team leaders and a department head. We are organized into four social work teams, a placement team, two child disability teams and the Reception.

The Reception currently consists of three child- and youth advisers and two student assistants. The Reception handles, among other things, all new notifications, conducts 24-hour assessments, screens cases and holds decision-making network meetings, party hearings and involvement conversations with children and young people.

The team is supported by a team leader, who has both the personnel and professional responsibility.

As a adviser with us you will have a high degree of independence and flexibility, while we work from a consistent professional approach and prioritise professional sparring and close leadership.

We collaborate closely with family therapists, contact persons, psychologists, schools, PPR, educational guidance, health visitors and day care institutions, which organizationally are located in the same department.

We are looking for you who

• Have experience with the authority area in the children and youth field
• Thrive in reception work and can make professional judgments quickly and confidently
• Are able to create security and trust in meetings with children, young people, parents and partners
• Are curious, ask good questions and are focused on understanding the child’s perspective
• Are independent and can keep an overview in a busy daily life with professional challenges
• Have knowledge of the Child Act and experience working in DUBU
• Want to work in a holistic way with a solutions-focused approach
• Are engaged, flexible and contribute to good collegiality
• Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Have a positive view of people and a high ethical standard

Position information

• Application deadline: November 18 at 12:00
• Interviews: Expected to be held in week 48
• Start date: January 1, 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter
• Working hours: 37 hours per week
• Employment period: 1 permanent position and a six-month temporary position with possibility of extension
• Salary: According to the applicable collective agreement and the Ny Løn principles
