Kindergarten class teacher for Skovvejens School, East Campus

After many years as a valued part of Skovvejens Skole, our current kindergarten class leader has chosen to retire. We are therefore seeking a new colleague who is passionate about creating a safe, inspiring and educational everyday life for children in their first year of school.

We are looking for a kindergarten class leader who meets children with warmth, curiosity and clear boundaries, and who can make the transition from kindergarten to school a positive experience for both children and parents. You believe that play, relationships and participation are important building blocks in children's learning, and you are able to create a learning environment where all children feel seen, valued and part of the community.

You will become an important part of our primary school team and will play a central role in laying the foundation for students' school career and desire to learn.

Your main tasks

• You create a safe and meaningful start to school for the children.
• You work purposefully with the children's well-being, social development and readiness for school.
• You plan and implement motivating learning processes through play, movement and creativity.
• You create opportunities for participation for all children in a diverse group of pupils.
• You support the development of the children's language, curiosity, independence and community skills.
• You work systematically with learning, development and evaluation.
• You collaborate closely with teachers, pedagogues and resource persons about the children's development.
• You establish a trusting and constructive collaboration with the parents.

We imagine that you

• Are trained pedagogue or teacher with competencies in primary school and early childhood development.
• Have experience with or interest in working in the kindergarten class.
• Are interested in joining a close collaboration with the two other kindergarten class leaders regarding daily activities and their joint preparation.
• Have strong relationship skills and meet children in an affirming manner.
• Are clear and caring in your class leadership.
• Work inclusively and see possibilities rather than limitations.
• Can create structure, predictability and joy in everyday life.
• Are creative and integrate varied learning activities into teaching.
• Contribute positively to collaboration with colleagues, students and parents.
• Have a desire to develop practice together with your colleagues.

Employment process and salary

The start date is 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible.

We hold interviews as we receive applications.

The position is essentially 37 hours and is a permanent position.

We offer salary and terms of employment according to the Danish collective agreement for teachers etc. in primary education in municipalities and according to principles of local pay setting and in agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary range for the teaching position is 32,634 DKK - 43,433 DKK per month (37 hours)

The salary depends on negotiations between the manager and the professional organization that has the negotiating rights for the current collective agreement.

The composition of the salary depends on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
