About the job

Citizen Service and Benefits is seeking a service-minded employee for Citizen Service, IT and Digitalisation

Do you want to provide good service and meet many different people? Do you communicate kindly and clearly – both on the phone and face to face? And do you have a flair for digital solutions and administration?

Then you could be our new colleague in Citizen Service and Benefits in Struer Municipality.

We are looking for an engaged employee with a focus on service for 37 hours per week.

Your upcoming job

In Citizen Service and Benefits we help citizens daily with various questions and tasks. Customer contact is central, so you must thrive with both telephone and in-person service.

You will handle tasks across Citizen Service and Benefits – from lighter administration to more complex tasks that require insight into laws, rules, procedures and digital systems.

You will assist citizens at several addresses. Therefore you must be flexible and prepared for changing workplaces, depending on tasks and staffing needs.

You will receive thorough training in citizen assistance, administrative tasks and the systems you will use.

Your main tasks

You will, among other things

  • assist and guide citizens on the phone
  • assist citizens when they come in person to Citizen Service and Benefits
  • help citizens use digital solutions
  • solve both simple and complex administrative tasks
  • register, document and follow up in relevant case/workflow systems
  • communicate verbally and in writing with citizens, colleagues and partners
  • collaborate with colleagues across Citizen Service and Benefits
  • solve tasks at multiple municipal addresses
  • contribute to other tasks based on the principle that the task sets the pace for the team.

We are looking for someone who

  • prioritises good service and greets all citizens with kindness, respect and professionalism
  • enjoys serving citizens by phone and in person
  • keeps a cool head and maintains an overview in busy and challenging situations
  • expresses themselves clearly, understandably and kindly
  • communicates securely in both speech and writing
  • has good digital skills and easily learns new solutions and systems
  • knows Microsoft Office programs and has experience using them
  • thrives with both simple and complex administrative tasks
  • solves your tasks systematically, thoroughly and responsibly
  • is flexible and ready to work at different addresses
  • wants to learn new things and take responsibility for your professional development
  • strengthens collaboration, the sense of community and a good working environment.

Experience from Citizen Service, Benefits, public administration, customer service or other work with close citizen or customer contact is an advantage. Most important is your attitude, your communication skills and your desire to learn.

With us you get

  • a varied everyday life with diverse tasks and many citizen contacts
  • a thorough and well-structured onboarding
  • good opportunities for professional and digital development
  • competent colleagues with commitment to the work
  • a professional community with mutual help
  • a workplace that prioritises service, quality, collaboration and well-being
  • opportunity for varied tasks across Citizen Service and Benefits.

You will also have the possibility of home working and flexible working hours by agreement, when tasks, citizen service and staffing allow. A mentor will provide you with support and input so you settle well into the tasks and the community. We prioritise a good working environment with helpfulness, respect and open dialogue and take joint responsibility for well-being and collaboration.

Terms of employment

Working hours are 37 hours per week: Monday–Wednesday 08:00–15:30, Thursday 08:00–17:00 and Friday 08:00–13:30.

You will start on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. We are happy to wait for the right colleague.

Salary and employment follow the current collective agreement for administrative staff between HK Kommunal and KL, as well as the principles of local salary setting.
