About the job

Become a professional coordinator in Public Health - an area in political focus

A new public health law and the political ambitions in Guldborgsund Municipality show the way for our area going forward. As a professional coordinator in Public Health you are part of the management and become a central driving force in the work of turning visions into action across disciplines and collaboration partners.

We are looking for a colleague who has an overview and masters facilitating and leading processes. One who can collaborate on development and is able to think creatively, without compromising on structure or the ability to see things through.

The position as a professional coordinator

The upcoming public health law calls for structural prevention that is driven across the entire municipality. The Department of Public Health therefore has an exciting task to facilitate and inspire collaboration across a broad front. In addition, we have a number of tasks within health promotion and prevention for all age groups, which we must ensure get solved. For example regarding citizens who have become lonely, those who will change their lifestyle, or in relation to ensuring good conditions for volunteers to thrive.

In close interaction with the head of Public Health you influence how intentions should become action. You have an overview of the department's many tasks, an eye for synergy and are able to facilitate collaboration across the department. You will have the opportunity to bring a wide range of competencies into play when you lead development projects and ensure the department's professional cross-cutting collaboration – both across the municipal centers as well as with external actors.

The key tasks of the position

  • Coordination and co-management of the department and development tasks
  • Support the administrative processes in the department
  • Facilitation of meetings, development processes, etc.
  • Support and develop strategic partnerships with different actors on health promotion efforts
  • Prepare written material, such as case statements and project descriptions
  • Overview of the finances in the projects and across the department
  • Communication through presentations etc. both internally and externally.

What do we expect?

We anticipate that you have a relevant education at master’s level, preferably in combination with leadership training and experience with project management, co-creation or similar. It is an advantage if you have experience from the public health field and have worked in a municipality.

  • Has strong communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Valid driver’s license.

We offer

  • A meaningful and challenging position in a department with dedicated colleagues
  • A workday with a wide variety of tasks
  • Good ongoing sparring on leadership challenges
  • A professionally development-focused environment with emphasis on a good working environment
  • A professional and attractive workplace that takes dialogue seriously
