Three new team leaders for Children and Family

In the Vordingborg Municipality's Children and Family Department we have a unified leadership team across providers and authority. We work according to the Child Act and our foremost task is to prevent and remedy social problems among Children and Young People aged 0 to 14.

We operate based on five strategic guidelines

HOME-BASED – Because home is best, except in very special cases

NETWORK – Because the local environment and the close family are precious for a child or a young person

ADVANCE – Because all children should feel heard and seen, and because we want to keep focus on what works!

EFFECT – Because it is important that what we do works for the child or the young person

ECONOMY – Because there should be something for everyone

You must stand for these guiding principles and both uphold and develop a stable practice around them.

We will strengthen our workplace on several parameters and will work purposefully with it in 2027-2028.

The goal is

Strong working community with room for a professional community, where we strengthen each other’s professional work, but also for sociability, Christmas lunch, summer party and teambuilding.

Trust-based leadership. We believe that everyone does the best they can. There is freedom under responsibility. There is room for professional disagreement and exciting conversations about ethics and morals within our profession.

Professionalism at the top. We want to be a workplace where we take pride in 'the profession'. Where we have control of systematics, inclusion and deadlines. Where the child or the young person is at the center and we manage to think creatively and solution-focused.

• You are educated social worker, facilitator or other, which provides a basis for holding a position in a authority department.

• You are good at collaborating across, which means you invite for shared understanding with curiosity and acceptance
• You are proper in your speech and behavior and value professionalism and professionalism highly
• You have experience thinking solution-focused and working with measurable goals and transparency towards both citizens, colleagues and employees
• You know that happiness is succeeding with the task, and you therefore want to keep focus on the role , which the task calls for – both in yourself and your employees.

More about us

Our leadership team consists of 5 team leaders across authority and executors. It is unique because we can do something special when we work very closely around executors, authority and early prevention. You will become part of a team with a strong common strategy and a safe community. Your daily workplace will be in the authority department.

There are 109 employees in Children and Family and you will be the personnel- and professional leader for 1-2 teams. Our teams are divided into district teams, a front, a team of placement consultants and a special team that takes care of children and young people with disabilities. In the Family Center there is baby1000 team, contact person team and family consultant team, as well as a satellite team. We also have a secretariat consisting of skilled administrative staff, consultants and a jurist.

The employees are all dedicated to their work and take pride in maintaining professional pride. You must therefore be well versed in the legislation in the area, and have courage for good professional discussions. In the daily you will work very closely with the other leaders, as it is the expectation you can create uniformity and a sense of community across teams, authority and executors.

We are organizationally anchored in the Center for Health, Children and Families.
