Robertshøj is located in Ørestad on Amager, right by Royal Arena and Fields – and Vestamager Metro/Ørestad are almost our neighbors. We are a long-term residential facility under § 105.

At Robertshøj there is room for 30 residents spread over three floors – i.e. 10 apartments on each floor. We place great importance on our residents having opinions and rights that must be respected. Therefore we do not make decisions for the residents, but help and support them to have a voice in their own lives.

The residents at Robertshøj are developmentally disabled to mild to severe degree and also have extensive structure needs. They usually have an autism spectrum disorder or ADHD diagnosis and may have health-professional diagnoses such as epilepsy from mild to severe.

These forms of loss of skills typically cause restlessness and outwardly directed behavioral patterns. The need for support varies from high to completely dependent on all daily tasks.

If you have experience from the 24-hour care sector as care and pedagogical assistant, that's a big plus. You can also be studying a social or health care education, where you want practical experience within the special education area.

We will prepare you well for the tasks through a fixed introductory program.

Since our citizens are particularly sensitive and need calm, structure and stability in a recognizable daily life, you create secure surroundings with focus on the individual resident. You thrive in an environment where fixed routines as well as clear and purposeful communication are part of the pedagogical practice. It is an advantage if you also have knowledge of and experience with the Low Arousal method and theory, which we use in relation to conflict prevention.

Employment terms

You will be hired as a on-call substitute. If you are employed in a temporary position for up to nine months on a full-time basis, it will be according to the collective agreement for pedagogical staff.

We obtain criminal records and take references in connection with the hire.

We are looking for on-call substitutes in all shift levels

• day shift from 6.30-15.00
• mid shift 10.00-20.00
• evening shift 14.30-23.00
• night shift 22.45-8.00
