Centre nurse sought for Dementia Care Center Humlehusene

About the position

We are seeking an engaged and professionally well-founded center nurse for a 37-hour week. There are no fixed weekend shifts. Any weekend shifts are arranged as needed and in collaboration with you.

As a center nurse you will become a central professional in the house with responsibility to support the nursing quality and ensure coherent resident pathways. You will be part of a close multidisciplinary collaboration with social and health care assistants, social and health helpers, students, management as well as our quality and development nurse.

You will also have a close collaboration with the nursing home doctor regarding residents' health-related issues, medical treatments, follow-ups and assessments, so that residents experience safe and coherent pathways.

The position combines clinical nursing, coordination, teaching and professional development, and you will become an important sparring partner for both staff, management, residents and relatives.

Professional development and quality

A significant part of the role is to contribute to the continued development of staff's professional competencies. You should be willing to share your nursing knowledge and translate it into practice through guidance, sparring and bedside teaching in everyday work.

You will become a visible professional resource in the house and take on a central role in supporting a high professional level within, among other things, dementia care, clinical observations, early detection of disease, medication management and health-care documentation.

As a center nurse you will also be the focal point for work with unintended incidents (UI) and use of force. You will have an important role in supporting learning, follow-up and quality development in these areas in close collaboration with management and staff.

Professional community

Humlehusene collaborates closely with Plejecenter Albertshøj. As part of the collaboration you will participate in monthly meetings with the nursing group from Albertshøj, where the focus is on professional sparring, knowledge sharing and development of nursing across the centers.

We are looking for a nurse who

• Is a licensed nurse.
• Has interest in or experience with the dementia field.
• Can work independently while engaging in close multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Contributes to high professional quality and resident-centered nursing.
• Has good communication skills and can build relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues.
• Has an interest in teaching, guidance and competence development of staff through, among other things, bedside teaching and professional sparring.
• Can work systematically with quality assurance, learning and follow-up on unintended incidents and use of force.
• Is a clinical supervisor or is keen to train as a clinical supervisor.

Education of the nurses of tomorrow

We host nursing students in the house, and therefore it is a requirement that you are either trained as a clinical supervisor or motivated to become one. You will play an important role in supporting the students' learning, well-being and professional development.

Salary placement is made after negotiation between the municipality and the bargaining representative organization.
