Head of the Directorate Staff with a Development Perspective

Then the position as head of the Directorate's Staff in Herning Municipality is an attractive opportunity.

It calls for an organization that works even more holistically, and for a strong, coherent development power across the municipality. Now we are seeking a development-oriented head for the Directorate's Staff, who has the energy and courage to help translate the ambitions into action.

As head of a newly established area you will play a central role in the movement. The role includes management responsibility for Communication, HR development, the Director's Secretariat and Data Lab with the expectation that you work holistically and actively contribute to the staff's overall operation.

You shall together with the board, head colleagues, managers and employees connect competencies in administrations and civil society and get good ideas and political ambitions to develop in the everyday life that the municipality creates for citizens, businesses and communities. You will join a leadership group where collaboration, professional sparring and shared management responsibility are central values.

We therefore seek a head who wants to do something. A head who sees opportunities, brings people and expertise together and who wants to set a direction and create results in a municipality where there is not far from thought to action. We expect you to have solid experience from a politically led organization, and good knowledge of one or more of the subject areas. The role is a crucial part of the interplay between the board, the Directorate's Staff and the decentralized subject areas. It is therefore important that you thrive in the playmaker role and have a good eye for the relational and organizational.
