In addition to conversations and medical treatment, we offer milieu therapy, psychoeducation, physical training and music therapy.

We are 25-30 staff: nurses, social and health care assistants, pedagogues, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, social workers and secretaries. The staff group has great experience and we work closely across professional boundaries and actively use each other’s observations. The task is demanding, so we prioritize safety, security and a good working environment with humor and room for each other.

You lead the ward together with the head nurse and are responsible for

  • intake and treatment plans
  • patient conversations and professional sparring with staff
  • acute decisions, including coercion and medication
  • safety and maintaining the ward's framework
  • contact with external collaborators
  • complaints handling and administration

You

  • You are a specialist in psychiatry .
  • Experience from forensic psychiatry is an advantage. The same goes for knowledge of the Penal Code and the Administration of Justice Act.
  • You listen to staff input and make clear decisions, even under pressure.
  • You justify your decisions professionally and create predictability for patients and staff.
  • You write precisely and clearly.
  • You work recovery-oriented with a basis in the individual patient’s resources

We offer

  • Large scope for decision-making and a management that supports you
  • Supervision by an experienced forensic psychiatric consultant from another region in complex cases
  • Support for the two-year Forensic Psychiatric Expert Education
  • Opportunity for one weekly day of home-based work
