About the job

We are seeking a pulmonary medicine specialist with interest and experience in the telemedicine area at the Medical Department, Horsens Regional Hospital, to be filled on January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

The Medical Department is seeking a specialist in internal medicine: Pulmonology. We are looking for a senior physician who will participate in leading and developing the entire pulmonary medical treatment in the local area with the aim of meeting the changing demands of the health service. In addition, there is a need for a colleague who can contribute to the professional leadership of the area of interstitial lung diseases.

We are looking for you who have experience with TeleKOL and hjemmeNIV, and treatment of interstitial lung diseases, and who have the commitment and desire to be part of the pulmonary medical community. At the same time, you can, in addition to being a dedicated pulmonologist, also see yourself as a broad internal medicine physician who contributes to the professional and social community across the Medical Department.

As a senior physician in pulmonology you will be part of the inpatient ward, Medical Inpatient Ward 1, which is a well-functioning ward with 25 beds. Here, pulmonology- and gastroenterology-specialist patients and internal medicine patients are admitted. The ward handles, among other things, high-flow and NIV treatment of lung patients. The inpatient ward is attached to the Medical Day Ward and the Diagnostic Clinic, which handle follow-up and elective diagnostic pathways. The ward has fixed specialists in pulmonology, gastroenterology and rheumatology.

You will have a fixed role in our pulmonology clinic, where the pulmonology team currently consists of 4 specialists, 2 residents, and 5 specialized nurses with a secretarial group, who have a close and well-functioning interdisciplinary collaboration. Here we work with self-organization, which means, among other things, that there is a short path from idea to new initiatives and decisions. The self-organization has created an engaging, dynamic, and attractive environment where all pulmonology specialists undertake various professional, development, and organizational tasks.
