About the job

Do you want to work with specialized assessment and treatment of depression and at the same time help develop our professional environment and create cohesive patient pathways?

We are seeking an engaged department physician for Team Depression at the Ambulatory for Affective Disorders.

We offer a clinical position in a specialized outpatient clinic, where you will have the opportunity to work with assessment and treatment of patients with depression, including patients with complex and comorbid issues. We place emphasis on professional sparring, multidisciplinary collaboration and a shared ambition to develop the treatment for the benefit of the patients.

Your tasks

You will become part of the clinical team and participate in the assessment and treatment of patients with depression. Your tasks will include, among others:

  • Clinical assessment, diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning.
  • Medical treatment and follow-up of patients with depression and any comorbid conditions.
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration on complex patient pathways.
  • Collaboration with general practice and other partners on cohesive patient pathways and good transitions between sectors.
  • Participation in the professional development of Team Depression and the ambulatory's overall treatment offering.

A professional community with room for development

We want a colleague who is eager to actively contribute to the professional community – both in the team and in the ambulatory as a whole.

In addition to the clinical tasks, we handle a number of common duties in the department, including education and supervision of junior doctors. We aim to create a professional environment where learning, knowledge sharing and competence development are a natural part of daily life.

We therefore seek a colleague who is interested in education and professional development, and who wishes to actively engage in the training of junior doctors. There will be an opportunity to take a larger role in developing and coordinating educational tasks as experience and interest grow.

We also wish to continuously develop our treatment offerings and the collaboration with general practice and other partners. You will have the opportunity to contribute with your experiences and ideas on how we can strengthen treatment and create more cohesive patient pathways.

We are looking for you who

  • Are a specialist in psychiatry.
  • Have an interest in assessment and treatment of affective disorders and comorbid conditions.
  • Thrive in clinical tasks and in working with complex patient pathways.
  • Are keen on multidisciplinary collaboration and professional sparring.
  • Have an interest in education, supervision and professional development of junior doctors.
  • Have an interest in professional development and in contributing to the ambulatory's shared tasks and development.

We offer

  • A clinical position in a specialized outpatient clinic with focus on affective disorders.
  • A professional environment with opportunities for sparring and collaboration with experienced colleagues and other professional groups.
  • Opportunity for professional development within assessment and treatment of depression and comorbid conditions.
  • Opportunity to influence the development of treatment and collaboration with the primary sector.
  • A work community where we prioritise knowledge sharing, education and shared responsibility for the ambulatory's tasks.

We work according to the region's ITOP values, and it is given high priority that in our work we focus on seeing and meeting the patients where they are, by putting their needs first and doing what works for the patient. In the Patient's Team we work to ensure cross-sector collaboration in the integrated patient pathways together with the patient and relatives.
