Enthusiastic clinic assistant sought for a versatile position in Regional Dentistry, Maxillofacial Department, OUH

The maxillofacial department is seeking a quality-conscious and professionally grounded clinic assistant. The position has particular focus on the patient group covered by regional dentistry, but will also include both inpatients and outpatient maxillofacial patients.

The profile we seek is a clinic assistant with experience in either implant prosthetics or orthodontics as well as radiographic imaging, but also preferably with some knowledge of surgery. You are able to build good relationships with patients and their relatives. You see a strength in working interdisciplinary and independently for the patients' best, and you collaborate well with colleagues with different professional backgrounds. You thrive in a varied everyday life where you communicate with many different people. You are curious about hospital work and see opportunities rather than limitations.

The position is available as soon as possible and preferably from December 1. We offer 37 hours, but if you want fewer hours, this can also be accommodated.

We expect that you

• Are educated as a clinic assistant
• Are able to work both independently and in teams
• Are flexible in taking on tasks
• Have experience with different radiographic examinations

It is advantageous if you have experience in several of the following areas

• Experience with prosthetics
• Have worked independently with orthodontics
• Experience with surgical assistance

Your tasks

• Primarily an assisting role in relation to assessment and treatment of patients with agenesis or trauma-induced tooth loss.
• Prosthetic, orthodontic and surgical assistance, postoperative control and information.
• X-ray records, CBCT scans, OPT, intraoral radiographs, and clinical photographs
• Trios scanning for provisional solutions
• Fitting, removal and monitoring of fixed appliances, retention wires and spacers.

About the Maxillofacial Department and Regional Dentistry

The Maxillofacial Department diagnoses and treats trauma, benign tumors, anomalies, lesions, infections, obstructive sleep apnea and diseases of the teeth, mouth and jaws. In addition, dental focus and dental rehabilitation tasks are carried out for cancer patients, as well as reconstructive surgery after cancer and trauma. Furthermore, the department provides advisory functions to other specialties.

Regional Dentistry is organizationally placed within the Maxillofacial Department and in daily operations we collaborate across both functions.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment terms are governed by the collective agreement between HK Administration and IT and the Regions' payroll and tariff board and are subject to local pay scales.
