The position is based in Skejby, but by agreement there may be the possibility of meeting at the department's second site in Gødstrup.

In Team 2, children aged 8-13 years with a wide range of pediatric psychiatric issues are assessed and treated. The main emphasis is on ADHD and autism, but as a clinical psychologist you will naturally take on tasks related to the most complex patients who may be referred with depression, anxiety, OCD, intellectual disability, Tourette syndrome, etc. The department in Skejby also handles a number of highly specialized functions and several of our employees are involved in research. Team 2 handles highly specialized functions regarding attention disorders, OCD and Tourette.

Team 2 has around 70 staff with different professional backgrounds including psychologists, educational doctors and psychologists, specialty doctors, district pediatrics and nurses, social workers and secretaries.

We are a department with long seniority and many experienced colleagues, including psychologists.

As a clinical psychologist you will have a key role in the department. You will have a close collaboration with the department's specialists and be involved in the development and organization of the outpatient clinic. As a clinical psychologist you have an important task to support a high professional standard, contribute to development and focus on how we best utilize the available resources for the benefit of the overall target group.

As a clinical psychologist you will, among other things, be expected to handle the following tasks

  • assessment and evaluation of children with complex psychopathology
  • contribute with psychopathological assessments and management of more acute problems
  • conferencing of case conferences, clarification conferences and diagnostic conferences
  • handling of referrals and inquiries from the primary sector
  • sparring, supervision, guidance and possibly teaching
  • participation and possibly a leading role in professional and organizational development processes
  • main supervisor for psychologists in training.

For applicants with interest and relevant competencies within psychotherapy, part of the position may include psychotherapeutic tasks in the treatment of OCD, anxiety and depression. The therapeutic treatment primarily takes its starting point in a cognitive approach.

We encourage you to indicate any specific competencies or areas of interest within the pediatric psychiatric field that you would like to develop further.

We offer

  • a meaningful everyday life, where you help the most ill and complex children, adolescents and their families
  • a professionally challenging and exciting position where you will handle varying tasks that require your expertise. You will never be alone with the task, but have easy access to professional sparring
  • dedicated and experienced colleagues who possess specialist knowledge within different areas, creating an inspiring working environment
  • opportunity for research
  • individual or group supervision as needed
  • close collaboration with specialists and clinical psychologists across the outpatient school-age area which includes joint task solving and professional sparring
  • a strong interdisciplinary collaboration that ensures we can offer holistic assessment and treatment to the children and their families
  • ample opportunity for professional development and participation in development work. You will have the opportunity to develop your competencies and stay updated with the latest research and practice in the area
  • a good induction program tailored to your individual competencies and experiences to ensure a smooth transition to your new role, so you feel well equipped for the tasks.

We are looking for you who

  • are trained as a clinical psychologist in child and adolescent psychiatry or are well on the way to becoming so
  • work independently and in a structured manner and have a good overview
  • have a strong professional profile and a solid theoretical background that you bring into your work
  • want to contribute to professional development, quality assurance and possibly research projects
  • have good collaborative skills with both colleagues and external partners
  • are engaged and have a view for both patient pathways, professional quality and organizational contexts
