CMO Operation Manager Professional
Målev, Denmark
Your impact begins here
As a CMO Operation Manager Professional, you will play a key role in ensuring reliable packaging and distribution of clinical supplies through external Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs). Working at the intersection of supply chain operations, secondary packaging and distribution, you will help secure operational excellence across a portfolio of clinical products.
In this role, you will bring visibility to operational performance, identify risks before they impact supply, and ensure efficient execution across outsourced activities. Your ability to collaborate across functions and maintain strong supplier partnerships will directly contribute to delivering clinical supplies where and when they are needed.
What you'll bring
You combine operational supply chain expertise with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing and compliance. You thrive in a dynamic environment where stakeholder collaboration, risk management, and continuous improvement are essential to success.
We are looking for a candidate who has
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing, clinical supply, supply chain operations, or CMO management
- Working knowledge of GMP and Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) regulations, including EU and FDA requirements
- Experience with deviation management, CAPA follow-up, and quality compliance activities
- Experience working with ERP systems, document management systems, and supply chain planning tools
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate operational risks
What you'll do
As a CMO Operation Manager Professional, you will oversee operational activities across one or more external manufacturing partners while ensuring alignment with supply plans, quality requirements, and business priorities. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day CMO operations, including batch tracking, release coordination, schedule adherence, and execution monitoring
- Coordinating clinical trial setup activities within assigned scope, including non-standard trial allocations and assessment of operational requirements and constraints
- Monitoring deviations, CAPAs, and quality-related activities, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of risks when required
- Leading operational governance forums, including operational reviews, tactical meetings, and business review meetings with suppliers
- Driving supplier performance management and contributing to supplier qualification, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining accurate system data, reviewing operational documentation and change controls, and supporting risk reviews through KPI monitoring and supply chain insights
Who you'll work with
You will join Supply Chain Planning within Clinical Supplies, a team dedicated to ensuring reliable and compliant clinical supply delivery across the development portfolio. The department works closely with external Contract Manufacturing Organisations and internal stakeholders across CMC Development, Quality Assurance, and other specialist functions.
Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work alongside colleagues from supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and development organisations while building strong partnerships with external suppliers. Together, you will ensure operational excellence, transparency, and reliable execution of clinical supply activities.
What you can expect here
You can expect a role with significant operational responsibility and the opportunity to influence how clinical supply activities are executed across a global network of manufacturing partners. You will be empowered to make decisions within your scope, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to a culture focused on continuous learning and operational excellence.
This position offers broad exposure to supply chain operations, supplier management, quality systems, and cross-functional collaboration. You will also have opportunities to support improvement initiatives, leverage digital and automation solutions, and help shape efficient ways of working across the organisation.
Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from DKK 570,200 to DKK 838,100 , corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
