Companion sought for a 29-year-old woman in Hobro

We are seeking a companion for a 29-year-old woman with a mental disability who lives in Hobro.

She has good verbal skills and can express her wishes and needs herself. She enjoys going out, having experiences and taking part in social activities. She attends scouting and loves experiences such as performances, concerts and festivals. Nibe Festival is also a recurring and important part of her summer.

As a companion, your task will be to support her in going out and participating in the activities and experiences she herself desires. This could include concerts, cinema trips, and other cultural and social experiences.

The companionship is granted under the Social Services Act § 97 and aims to support her ability to participate in activities outside the home on her own terms.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is stable, calm and responsible, and who wants to help create good and safe experiences.

It is important that you can base your approach on her own wishes and needs and respect her autonomy. At the same time you should be able to contribute with calm and an overview when needed.

Since she enjoys concerts, festivals, performances and other experiences, it would be an advantage if you also enjoy that kind of environment. You should also be prepared that the companionship may take place on weekdays, in the evening hours and on weekends.

About the companionship

This is companionship under the Social Services Act § 97 with up to 15 hours of companionship per month.

The hours are planned in collaboration with the young woman and take as their starting point her wishes for activities and experiences.

The companionship is based in Hobro, but can also take place in other locations in connection with trips, events, concerts, performances and festivals.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is on collective agreement terms, where the salary is agreed with the bargaining-empowered organization.

Criminal record and child-safety checks will be obtained, and employment is conditional on these being approved.

To be employed by Mariagerfjord Municipality you must have MitID.
