About the job

Brief introduction to who we are looking for

Would you like to help develop facility management in Holstebro Municipality from reactive to more planned, data-driven and preventive operation?

The Common Property Center is seeking a new colleague for the operations and maintenance area. The position focuses on contracts, cleaning controlling and quality.

You will get a newly established role with responsibility for contract management, cleaning controlling and quality follow-up. You must create an overview of agreements, finances, consumption and quality and help build a simple and durable way to follow up. You will work closely with, among others, our property administrator.

You will also be the natural sparring partner for your colleagues who work with operation and maintenance with respect to the content and requirements in the collaborations and deliveries the contracts deal with. Likewise you will have an ongoing dialogue with the municipality's procurement department.

About the job

Common Property Center (FEC) manages Holstebro Municipality's properties throughout their life cycle. We work with daily operation, maintenance and energy and with building and construction projects, where we assume the project owner role on the municipality's buildings and renovations.

The property portfolio includes among others schools, day care institutions, halls, nursing homes, museums and administrative buildings.

In the operations and maintenance area we are responsible for remedial and planned maintenance on technical installations, external building elements and in several places also internal maintenance. We work in a client-contractor model and support both the decentralized technical service staff and the institutions' managers. That means that in many of the tasks and services necessary for the buildings' function we rely on external craftsmen and suppliers to carry out the tasks.

Your key tasks

As contract and quality consultant, you should among other things

  • create an overview of and follow up on service and supplier agreements, framework agreements and lease contracts
  • work with quality follow-up on economy, consumption and quality
  • follow up on the cleaning agreement through, among other things, self-checks, key figures, spot checks and internal audits
  • coordinate parts of the ongoing supervision with colleagues on municipality properties
  • collaborate with the municipality's procurement department on tenders and contract negotiations and provide the property-related and contractual basis
  • use data from among others property management, access and energy systems as the basis for follow-up
  • work with area utilization and support better use of the municipality's areas
  • follow up on service catalog and agreed service levels to the institutions

We are looking for you who

  • can drive your own tasks forward and see them through without close management. You collaborate across disciplines and organizational boundaries and have a view of the overall task rather than only your own area
  • are curious about new ways of working and can translate new knowledge into practice. At the same time you work systematically and can create an overview in tasks where several people, disciplines or suppliers are involved

We especially look for you who work in a structured way with agreements, follow-up and control and can build simple processes that work in practice.

Qualifications

Must-have

We expect that you

  • can work systematically and structured with follow-up
  • can take responsibility for and create an overview of supplier, service and lease contracts
  • can build and apply a simple control and follow-up mechanism, e.g., in connection with cleaning or service agreements

Desirable qualifications

  • have experience with FM, property management or other relevant data systems
  • have knowledge of framework agreements and commercial lease contracts
  • have worked with cleaning controlling, self-check, audits or spot checks
  • have a background in facility management, procurement, contract management, finance or administration

We offer

At the Common Property Center you get

  • a central role in a property organization in development, where you have the opportunity to influence your area of work
  • experienced colleagues and short path to professional sparring and decisions
  • freedom with responsibility and the opportunity to plan and drive your own tasks
  • opportunity to help develop FEC from reactive to more proactive and data-driven operation
  • opportunities for professional and personal development
  • flexibility in everyday life and focus on a good balance between work and private life

We place emphasis on a work community with room for different experiences and perspectives and encourage all qualified candidates to apply.

Who we are

In Holstebro Municipality we build bridges to each other. We have done so since 1274, when the first of its kind was born across the Storå. It is part of our culture. In everyday life, this means that we rarely see things as they are. We prefer to see what they can become.

In Technical and Environment (Teknik og Miljø) there are many and broad tasks – the same goes for our partners. But we focus on the core task.

We have formulated it as

"In collaboration with citizens and businesses we create frameworks to develop and maintain well-functioning and sustainable towns and landscapes"

We know who we are here for, and our ambition is to make it so good that citizens and businesses would choose us if they had an alternative.

Salary and terms of employment

Depending on your education, employment will be in accordance with the Danish Association of Local Government's (KL) collective agreement with the relevant organization.

We offer a permanent position of 37 hours per week and with commencement on 1 January 2027.

Workplace is at Holstebro City Hall, Kirkestræde 11, 7500 Holstebro.

You do not need to meet all the desirable qualifications either. If you can see yourself in the position's main tasks and meet the necessary requirements, we would like to hear from you.

As part of the recruitment process, a short practical case is included, where you will have the opportunity to show how you approach relevant tasks.
