The Establishment and Terrain Command has its headquarters in Hjørring, while the establishments are distributed across the country. You will become part of the Operations Department which today consists of 6 sections that support operations through our decentralized structure at the barracks, air stations and fleet stations.

The Establishments Controlling Section is among other things responsible for control and invoicing within specific areas – always with a focus on quality, coordination and cooperation.

About the position

As a controller you will be responsible for a number of core tasks within controlling and contract management including:

• Verify suppliers' invoicing basis in relation to contracts
• Prepare validation analyses and ensure data quality
• Contribute to development and improvement of internal invoicing processes and control environment
• Develop and analyze samples
• Verify suppliers' self-check
• Engage in dialogue with suppliers about invoicing and clarifications
• Prepare case briefs and perform self-audit of selected areas
• Contribute to tender work and process development for new agreements

You will have close collaboration with colleagues across the section and department. Your main tools will be SAP, GIS and Excel.

About you

We seek a candidate with

• Relevant academic education (e.g., cand.merc.jur., cand.merc.aud., cand.merc., cand.oecon., cand.stat. or equivalent
• Experience with controlling, auditing or financial management
• Strong Excel skills (preferably including VBA) and preferably with experience in SAP and GIS
• Ability to be both detail-oriented and find pragmatic solutions
• Good collaboration and communication skills, internally as well as externally
• A structured approach, ability to handle several processes and willingness to contribute to improvements
• Good at maintaining focus and overview in periods with deadlines to be met

Terms of employment

The employment is in accordance with the current agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state (Academic Agreement).

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiation of supplements. The position is linked to an employer-financed pension scheme.

The workplace is in Hjørring.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence area you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be security-cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment.

You, as an employee, have an obligation to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.

About the Establishment and Terrain Command (ETK)

The Establishment and Terrain Command (ETK) supports and services military and civilian authorities under the Ministry of Defense. Our task is to deliver and develop attractive physical frameworks that are necessary for their daily work.

We build new, maintain, operate canteens and clean at duty stations across the country.

We have on behalf of the Ministry of Defence group responsibility for the green area, which among other things includes environment, energy and nature care.
