Responsibility for developing an efficient delivery organization

In a newly established position as COO you will have the overarching responsibility for the total delivery of Gibotech's complex automation solutions. The projects involve a wide range of technologies and functions, which are either developed at Gibotech specifically for the individual customer or as solutions that cover a general industry need. The scope of the largest projects amounts to three-digit million contracts and extends over several years.

Your primary role will be to create an overview and clear prioritization across the entire value chain, which includes software development, design – both mechanical and electrical engineering, procurement, production and installation.

Project management is already a central function in the organization, where many threads are gathered, and the next step in the company's development is to bring together the management and performance responsibility for the entire operations organization in a COO function.

There is talk of an important and sought-after managerial and organizational role. Gibotech's strategic focus forms the basis for the company's strong growth to continue, which creates a need for strong managerial and organizational processes that can support the organization’s strong professional foundation and a culture where one does not back away from tackling big challenges.

You will, together with the CEO, CSO, CTO and CFO, constitute Gibotech's Executive Management Team, which, in collaboration with the board, drives strategic development. As COO you will lead your own operations leadership team, which together executes customer projects and – in close collaboration with the sales function – develops new scalable solutions and products.

The most important success criterion is therefore that, based on your general business insight and experience in running project business, you are able to rally the forces of an already strong team of heads of departments (Head of), who have all contributed to building the foundation on which the current success is based.

Experience with leading leaders in large projects

You already have experience from the role of COO in a project company, or you have built your experience as project director or similar in an organization where strong specialists work together to solve large and complex tasks, and where the result depends on leveraging each other’s competencies.

You create overview through a systematic approach to tasks, and you know how important it is to know the details where the risk is greatest. At the same time you always choose to use the company's processes and systems to create understanding and transparency around your decisions.

As an experienced leader and ultimate responsible for an organization where both leaders and employees are characterized by a high level of competence, you know how important it is to listen and give responsibility – but also to make difficult decisions when functional or professional interests make prioritization difficult.

Your educational background is not decisive, but as part of the top management in a company where the business basis rests on the development of complex technical solutions, it is a prerequisite that you have a technical understanding that enables you to participate in relevant discussions with employees, customers and suppliers.

You have experience, professionalism and interest in embracing issues across the company, and you find it natural to engage in strategic discussions – even when it concerns market development, process development, contractual matters or strategic collaborations.
